Weight Definitions:
- Unloaded Vehicle Weight (UVW): The typical weight of the trailer as built at the factory, excluding cargo, fresh water, propane, options, or dealer-installed accessories.
- Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR): The maximum permissible weight of the trailer, including UVW plus passengers, personal items, cargo, fluids, options, and accessories.
- Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC): The maximum weight of all passengers, personal items, food, fresh water, propane, tools, other cargo, and dealer-installed accessories that can be carried by the trailer.
- Hitch Weight (HW): The weight exerted on the hitch by the trailer, excluding cargo, fresh water, propane, options, or accessories.

Jayco's Construction Philosophy
Jayco builds RVs on custom-sized frames, designed specifically for each floorplan, unlike competitors who use stock frames and modify them. This ensures optimal support and durability.
- Integrated A-frame: Runs through the main frame to prevent hitch buckling.
- I-Class Cambered Structural-Steel I-beams: A unique molded, one-piece design prevents twisting, unlike three-piece I-beams that can warp.
- Wall Construction: Jayco hand-tucks and glues fiberglass insulation to studs for increased insulation value. Competitors often use blanket-insulation. An optional fiberglass package offers vacuum-bonded front and rear walls for durability.
- Floor Construction: Features 5/8" tongue-and-groove plywood on 2"x3" wooden floor joists with a protective moisture barrier. Galvanized-steel wheel wells reduce heat loss and prevent tire damage.
- Magnum Truss Roof System: Jayco's exclusive system is 50% stronger, tested to withstand 4,500 lbs. It utilizes 4 1/2" crowned wood trusses, solid-wood studs, oversized nail plates, screwed-down 3/8" plywood decking, and one-piece, sidewall-wrapped DiFlex II material for superior strength and leak protection.
