Carrier Smart Kit User Manual

This manual provides instructions for installing and using the Carrier Smart Kit (Wireless module). Please read it carefully before installation and save it for future reference.

Download and Install App

Download the 'Carrier air conditioner' app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) by scanning the provided QR codes or searching directly.

Install the Smart Kit

  1. Remove the protective cap from the smart kit.
  2. Open the front panel of the air conditioner and insert the smart kit into the reserved interface.
  3. Attach the provided QR code to the side panel of the unit for easy scanning, or save a picture of it on your phone.

Warning: This interface is only compatible with SMART KITs provided by the manufacturer.

User Registration

Ensure your mobile device is connected to a wireless router that is connected to the internet. Log in to your email to activate your registration account if needed. You can also sign in using third-party accounts like Facebook or Twitter.

Network Configuration

Reminder

Complete all network configuration steps within 8 minutes of powering on the air conditioner, or power cycle the unit.

Using Android or iOS Device for Network Configuration

  1. Ensure your mobile device is connected to the desired Wi-Fi network and forget irrelevant networks.
  2. Disconnect and reconnect the AC power supply.
  3. Continuously press the 'LED DISPLAY' or 'DO NOT DISTURB' button seven times within 10 seconds. The AC display should show 'AP' to indicate it's in AP mode.

Network Configuration Methods:

By Bluetooth Scan:

  1. Press '+ Add Device'.
  2. Press 'Scan for nearby devices'. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
  3. Wait for smart devices to be found, then click to add.
  4. Select your home Wi-Fi and enter the password.
  5. Wait for the connection to the network.
  6. Configuration success. You can modify the default name.
  7. Choose an existing name or customize a new one.
  8. Bluetooth network configuration is successful. The device will appear in the list.

By Select Appliance Type:

  1. If Bluetooth configuration fails, select the appliance type (e.g., Split-type AC, Portable AC).
  2. Follow the steps to enter 'AP' mode.
  3. Choose the network configuration method.
  4. For Android, choose 'Scan the QR code' or 'Manual Setup'. For iOS, connect to the wireless network.
  5. If using 'Manual Setup' (Android), connect to the network 'net_ac_xxxx' using password '12345678'. If using iOS, connect to the wireless network.
  6. Enter the password for your home Wi-Fi.
  7. Wait for the connection process.
  8. Configuration Success. The device will be visible in the list.

Note: If the device status shows 'offline' after configuration, refresh the device list in the app or power cycle the AC unit.

How to Use App

Ensure both your mobile device and air conditioner are connected to the internet. Sign in to the app and select your air conditioner to control its on/off status, operation mode, temperature, fan speed, and other functions. Note that not all app functions may be available on the air conditioner.

Cautions (FCC/IC Compliance)

Models US-OSK105, EU-OSK105 comply with FCC Rules Part 15 and relevant Canadian regulations. Operation is subject to conditions that prevent interference. Avoid exceeding FCC radio frequency exposure limits by maintaining a minimum distance of 20 cm (8 inches) from the antenna during normal operation. This equipment has been tested and complies with Class B digital device limits.
