Step-by-step Guide for Wireless Programming

Oticon Genie and FittingLINK (WP-2 / 3.0)

Programming Steps

Step 1: Insert the Bluetooth adapter into the desk stand or PC. Ensure only one Oticon Bluetooth adapter is connected. Wait for the Windows USB driver to install.

Step 2: For FittingLINK WP-2, pairing is needed: press and hold both the Bluetooth adapter button and the FittingLINK WP-2 ON/OFF button for 5 seconds until LEDs blink and turn steady. FittingLINK 3.0 is automatically added as a programming option under the 'DETECT' button in Genie 2.

Step 3: In Genie, navigate to "PREFERENCES", then "EDIT PREFERENCES", and select the "PROGRAMMING DEVICE" tab.

Step 4: Press the "DETECT" button and wait for FittingLINK to be detected. Click OK when it appears.

Step 5: Insert fresh batteries into the hearing aids. For WP-2, place them 5-10 cm (2-4 inches) from the neckpiece. For 3.0, close the battery doors and wait approximately 15 seconds.

Step 6: Press the "DETECT" button in Genie and follow the on-screen prompts.

Step 7: For WP-2, the front LEDs (blue and red) will light up indicating a search for hearing aids, which will appear in Genie when detected. For 3.0, place the hearing aids on the client.

Step 8: For WP-2, place the hearing aids and FittingLINK WP-2 neckpiece on the client. For 3.0, communication is indicated by the Genie 2 status bar lighting up green.

Step 9: Communication is shown in Genie and by the FittingLINK WP-2's front LEDs (blue and red). FittingLINK 3.0 will light up blue.

Important Notes and Recommendations

Note: Turn off any secondary wireless programming equipment before establishing Bluetooth pairing between the adapter and the selected FittingLINK WP-2.

Note: It is recommended to have only one wireless programmer connected at a time.

Recommendation: To ensure a reliable wireless connection between FittingLINK 3.0 and the hearing aid, it is recommended to run only one fitting software application (Genie or Genie 2) at a time.
