Pioneer AVIC-W8500NEX Firmware Update (version 1.03)

Dear Valued Pioneer Customer:

Pioneer is pleased to announce the availability of a firmware update (version 1.03) for the Pioneer AVIC-W8500NEX In-Dash Navigation AV Receivers. This update is specifically for AVIC-W8500NEX Receivers sold in the United States and Canada.

Warning: Installation on any other product may cause irreversible damage.

How to Obtain the Free Firmware Update:

  1. Download the firmware update files to your computer from the Pioneer website: pioneerelectronics.com/firmware
  2. Transfer the downloaded files to your USB storage device.
  3. Insert the USB storage device into your Pioneer In-Dash Navigation AV Receiver to begin the update.
