This document provides essential safety information, operating instructions, and technical specifications for the ZWILLING ENFINIGY Electric Kettle.
Important Safety Information
Read all safety information and instructions carefully before using the appliance. Failure to comply with these instructions can result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury. Keep this manual for future reference. If the appliance is passed on to a third party, include this manual.
The kettle is intended exclusively for heating household quantities of cold, non-carbonated drinking water. Models 53006 / 53110-0 / 53102 are also designed for heating small bottles of baby food. Any other use is considered improper and may cause personal injury or property damage.
General Safety Precautions:
- Do not heat other liquids or foods in the appliance.
- The appliance is for domestic use only, not commercial use.
- It can be used in household-like environments such as staff kitchens, agricultural operations, hotels, motels, and bed & breakfasts.
- The water container must only be operated with the supplied base.
- Increased Risk for Certain Persons: Children aged 8 and older, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, may use the appliance if supervised or instructed in its safe use and understand the associated hazards.
- Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance may be performed by children over 8 under supervision.
- Keep the appliance and its power cord inaccessible to children under 8 years old.
- Keep packaging material away from children to prevent suffocation risk.
Electrical Safety:
- The appliance operates with electric current, posing a risk of electric shock.
- Connect only to a properly installed, earthed socket where leaking water cannot enter.
- Ensure the voltage on the rating plate matches your socket's voltage.
- The appliance has high power consumption; do not connect to multiple sockets or extension cords.
- Ensure the power cord is not kinked, pinched, or in contact with heat sources (hobs, gas flames).
- Always pull the plug directly from the socket; do not carry the appliance by the cord.
- Never touch the plug or base with wet hands.
- Keep liquids away from the base. Remove the water container from the base for filling.
- If the base contacts liquids, unplug immediately, clean up spills, and let the base dry.
- Never touch the connected base with metal objects or insert objects into appliance openings.
- The appliance remains live as long as the plug is connected, even when switched off.
- Unplug immediately after each use, in case of danger, or if defective. Keep the socket easily accessible.
- Unplug before cleaning.
- Never unscrew or technically modify the appliance.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids, clean under running water, or place it in the dishwasher.
Safety During Operation:
- Risk of scalding from boiling water or hot steam when the appliance is on: Always guide the power cord through the cable bushing on the underside of the base for stability.
- Fill the water container only up to the MAX marking; overfilling can cause hot water to spray out.
- Switch on the appliance only when the lid is completely closed.
- Do not move or transport the appliance while boiling.
- Never open the lid while water is boiling. Open only after hot water has been completely poured out.
- Never add water while the appliance is running. Hot steam is normal during boiling; keep away from the lid.
- Risk of burns on hot housing parts when the appliance is on and immediately after boiling: Hold the water container only by the handle.
- Allow the appliance to cool down before maintenance; the bottom remains warm for a long time.
- Water can spoil if left for several days: Do not leave water in the appliance when not in use. Pour out unused water and clean regularly.
- A faulty appliance can cause damage and injuries: Check for damage before each use. If transport damage is detected, contact the dealer immediately. Never operate a faulty or dropped appliance.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be repaired by the manufacturer, customer service, or a similarly qualified person to avoid risks. The appliance contains no user-repairable parts.
- Incorrect handling can cause damage. Place the appliance on a dry, level, non-slip surface.
- Do not place on hot surfaces or near heat sources.
- Do not place on surfaces that can be damaged by water and heat (e.g., untreated wood).
- Position the appliance so that steam or heat does not damage other objects or furniture.
- Do not let the power cord hang down. Store it in the cable compartment on the underside of the base after use.
- Never operate the appliance without water or with too little water. Fill to at least the 0.5-litre marking (53105 / 53005: 0.25-litre marking). Minor temperature deviations may occur, which can be greater with low filling volumes.
Before Storing the Appliance:
- Unplug the power cord and let the appliance cool down completely. Allow it to dry at room temperature or dry with a cloth.
- For models 53006 / 53110-0 / 53102: Overheated baby food can cause burns. Use only the designated program function for heating baby food. Do not reheat baby food multiple times. Check the temperature before giving it to small children.

Disposal
Only for EU countries: The “crossed-out trash can” symbol ?️ requires (in accordance with European Guideline 2012/19/EU) separate disposal of electric and electronic old appliances (WEEE). These appliances may contain valuable but dangerous substances harmful to the environment. They must be dropped off at a designated collection point for recycling and not disposed of in unsorted household trash. This helps protect resources and the environment. Contact your local authorities for more information.
Children must never be allowed to play with plastic bags and packaging material due to the risk of injury and/or suffocation. Store such materials safely or dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way.
