Bosch Dishwasher Quick Reference Guide

Before first use, read the instruction manual and safety information.

Setting up Home Connect

Tip: Connect your appliance to a mobile device for convenient settings changes via the Home Connect app.

  1. Install the Home Connect app on your mobile device and follow the instructions.
  2. Scan the QR code with the Home Connect app.

Overview of Water Hardness Settings

This section provides an overview of selectable water hardness values. Country-specific units are detailed in the instruction manual.

Setting the Water Softening System

  1. Press the 'Setup' button for 3 seconds.
  2. The display shows 'Hxx'.
  3. Press the 'Start' button repeatedly until the desired water hardness setting is displayed.
  4. Press the 'Setup' button for 3 seconds to save the settings.

Programmes

Programme data is measured in the laboratory according to EN 60436. Consumption figures vary based on selected program and functions. Running time may change if rinse aid system is off or needs refilling.

Adding Special Salt

To prevent appliance damage, add special salt to the dispenser just before starting a program.

  1. Unscrew and remove the lid of the special salt dispenser.
  2. On initial start-up, fill the dispenser completely with water.
  3. Add special salt to the dispenser. The water will be displaced. Never add detergent.
  4. Replace and close the dispenser lid.

Adding Rinse Aid

  1. Press the catch on the rinse aid dispenser lid and lift it open.
  2. Add rinse aid up to the 'max' mark.
  3. Close the rinse aid dispenser lid until it clicks into place.

Adding Detergent

  1. Add detergent to the dry detergent dispenser.
  2. Close the detergent dispenser lid until it clicks into place.

How to Use Your Appliance

  1. Load the tableware. Only use dishwasher-safe items. Remove large food remnants. Ensure spray arms can rotate freely.
  2. Add detergent.
  3. Switch on the appliance.
  4. Select the program.
  5. Start the program.
  6. Remove tableware at the end of the program.
  7. To cancel a program, press and hold the 'Reset' button for approximately 4 seconds. The program will cancel and end within approximately 1 minute.

Cleaning Filters

  1. After each wash, check filters for residue.
  2. Turn the coarse filter anticlockwise and remove the filter system.
  3. Pull down the micro filter to remove.
  4. Press the locking catches together and lift the coarse filter out.
  5. Clean filter elements under running water.
  6. Re-assemble the filter system.
  7. Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Ensure arrow markings align.

Cleaning Spray Arms

  1. Unscrew the upper spray arm and pull down to remove.
  2. Pull up the lower spray arm to remove.
  3. Check spray arm outlet nozzles for blockages under running water and remove any foreign bodies.
  4. Insert the lower spray arm; it will click into place.
  5. Insert the upper spray arm and screw it firmly in place.

Clean Wastewater Pump

  1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
  2. Remove the filter system.
  3. Scoop out any water.
  4. Use a spoon to prise off the pump cover and grip it by the crosspiece.
  5. Lift the pump cover inwards at an angle and remove it.
  6. Remove any food remnants and foreign bodies from the impeller area.
  7. Insert the pump cover and press down until it clicks into position.
  8. Install the filter system.

Troubleshooting

E:32-00 or water supply indicator lights upSupply hose kinked: Install hose without kinks.
Water tap off: Turn on tap.
Water tap jammed/furred: Turn on tap (flow rate must be at least 10 l/min).
Filters in water connection blocked: Switch off, unplug, turn off tap, unscrew connection, remove and clean filter, re-insert, screw back on, check for leaks, restore power, switch on.
E:61-02Wastewater pump blocked: Clean pump.
Pump cover loose: Secure cover until it clicks.
E:92-40Filters soiled/blocked: Clean filters.
Filters inserted incorrectly/not engaged: Insert and engage filters properly.
Remnants of food on tablewareTableware too close/basket overfilled: Arrange with space, ensure spray jets reach surfaces, avoid contact points.
Spray arm rotation blocked: Arrange tableware to not obstruct rotation.
Spray arm nozzles blocked: Clean spray arms.
Filters soiled: Clean filters.
Washing program too weak: Select a more intensive program.
Removable streaks on glasses/cutleryRinse aid dispensed too high: Set rinse aid system lower.
No rinse aid added: Add rinse aid.
Rust spots on cutleryCutlery not rust-resistant (e.g., knife blades): Use rust-resistant tableware.
Washed with rusting items: Do not wash rusting items together.
Detergent residue in dispenser/traySpray arms blocked by tableware: Check spray arms are not blocked and can rotate freely.
All LEDs light up/flash or program does not continueElectronics fault detected: Press main switch for approx. 4 seconds to reset and restart the appliance.
