This guide provides essential information for setting up and using your Bosch dishwasher, including Home Connect setup, water hardness adjustment, detergent and rinse aid usage, programme details, cleaning procedures, and troubleshooting.
Setting up Home Connect
Connect your dishwasher to the Home Connect app for convenient control via your mobile device.
- Install the Home Connect app on your mobile device and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Scan the provided QR code with the Home Connect app.
Tip: You can conveniently change all settings using the Home Connect app.
Overview of Water Hardness Settings
Adjust the water softening system to match your local water hardness for optimal cleaning results. A table of country-specific units can be found in the full instruction manual.

Setting the Water Softening System
- Press the main power button ?.
- To open basic settings, press and hold the button labelled 'i' for approximately 3 seconds.
- Press the button labelled 'i' repeatedly until the display shows "Water hardness".
- Press the '+' or '-' buttons repeatedly until the correct water hardness setting is displayed.
- To save the settings, press and hold the button labelled 'i' for approximately 3 seconds.
Adding Special Salt
To prevent damage to the appliance, only add special salt to the designated dispenser just before starting a programme.

- Unscrew the lid of the special salt dispenser and remove it.
- On initial start-up, fill the dispenser completely with water.
- Add the special salt to the dispenser. The water in the dispenser will be displaced and forced out. Never add detergent to the salt dispenser.
- Replace the lid on the dispenser and turn it to close securely.
Adding Rinse Aid

- Press the catch on the lid of the rinse aid dispenser and lift it open.
- Add rinse aid up to the 'max' mark.

Adding Detergent

Programmes
Programme data is measured in the laboratory according to European standard EN 60436. Consumption figures depend on the selected programme and additional functions. Running times may vary if the rinse aid system is switched off or requires refilling.

Note: The 'Favourite' programme is suitable for running at night; it takes longer but is extremely quiet.
How to Use Your Appliance
- Load the tableware. Only use tableware suitable for dishwashers. Remove large food remnants and ensure spray arms can rotate freely.
- Add detergent.
- Switch on the appliance ?.
- Select the programme.
- Start the programme ▶️.
- Remove the tableware at the end of the programme.
- To cancel the programme, press and hold the 'Reset' button for approximately 4 seconds. The programme will be cancelled and end after about 1 minute.
Cleaning
Cleaning Filters
Check filters for residue after each wash.

- After each wash, check the filters for residue.
- Turn the coarse filter anticlockwise and remove the filter system ➡️.
- Pull down the micro filter to remove it.
- Press the locking catches together and lift the coarse filter out.
- Clean the filter elements under running water.
- Re-assemble the filter system.
- Insert the filter system into the appliance and turn the coarse filter clockwise. Ensure the arrow markings align.
Cleaning Spray Arms

- Unscrew the upper spray arm and pull it down to remove it.

- Insert the lower spray arm. The spray arm will click into position ✔️.
- Insert the upper spray arm and screw it firmly in place.
Clean Wastewater Pump

- Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Remove the filter system.

- Lift the pump cover inwards at an angle and remove it.
- Remove any food remnants and foreign bodies from the impeller area.
- Insert the pump cover and press it down until it clicks into position ✔️.
- Install the filter system.
