Installation Instructions

Installation Steps

Step 1: Prepare Wall Mount

Insert the mounting bracket into the wall box.

Step 2: Connect Wiring

Feed the electrical wires through the opening in the mounting bracket. Connect the wires to the appropriate terminals on the bracket.

Step 3: Secure Mounting Bracket

Ensure the mounting bracket is securely fastened.

Step 4: Wiring Precautions

Warning: Do not connect inputs to mains power. Ensure correct wiring to prevent interference or damage.

Step 5: Terminal Block Details

The terminal block includes connections for:

  • +V (Power Input)
  • D- (Data Negative)
  • D+ (Data Positive)
  • GND (Ground)
  • SHLD (Shield)

Specifications:

  • Wire Gauge: 0.3-2.5 mm² (22-12 AWG)
  • Torque: 0.4 Nm (3.5 Lb-in)
  • RS-485 DyNet Power: 12 V ≤ 120 mA or 24 V ≤ 60 mA
  • General Terminal Rating: ≤ 2 A
  • Compliance: SELV/Class 2 (UL)

Step 6: Attach Display Unit

Align the display unit with the wall plate and snap it into place.

Step 7: Final Screw Installation

Use screws of appropriate length, ensuring they are inserted correctly (2-3 mm / 0.08-0.12 in depth) to avoid damage.

Step 8: Display Activation

The display will show the interface.

Step 9: System Connection

The display unit connects to the system via RS-485 DyNet.

Installation of a home and building automation and control system shall comply with IEC 60364 (all parts). The temperature limits and current-carrying capacities for the communication wires specified in IEC 60364-5-52 shall not be exceeded.

The Philips Dynalite Revolution Display (PDRDE) is a Class 1 laser product as per IEC60825-1 and EN 60825-1. This device complies with IEC 60825-1 and EN 60825-1 standards.
