Installation

Strap Mount

  1. Attach the mount to the helmet strap.
  2. Slide the BiKom 20 onto the mount.
  3. Position the device on the helmet.

Clip Mount for Hats

  1. Attach the clip mount to the hat.
  2. Slide the BiKom 20 onto the clip mount.
  3. Position the device on the hat.

Basic Operations

Charging

Connect the USB-C cable to the charging port. Full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.

You can use any third-party USB charger with FCC, CE, IC, or other local recognized certifications. Using unapproved chargers may cause fire, explosion, leakage, and other risks, potentially reducing battery life or performance.

Device Operations

Powering On/Off

Microphone Mute/Unmute

Use the adjustable boom microphone to mute or unmute the audio.

Volume Control

Press the (+) or (-) button to adjust volume.

Mesh Intercom

The BiKom 20 offers two Mesh Intercom modes:

Open Mesh

Communicate freely with an virtually unlimited number of users on any of the 6 available channels. The default Mesh Intercom channel is 1.

Activating/Deactivating Mesh Intercom

Channel Selection

  1. Access channel settings by pressing the center button twice.
  2. Navigate through channels by pressing the (+) or (-) button.
  3. Confirm and save the channel by pressing the center button once.

The channel is automatically saved if no button is pressed for 10 seconds. The channel is also saved when the BiKom 20 is turned off.

Group Mesh

Create private group conversations with up to 24 participants.

Creating a Group Mesh

  1. Initial users (User, A, and B) enter the group mesh by pressing the center button for 5 seconds while in open mesh. You do not need to be on the same open mesh channel to create a group mesh.
  2. When the group mesh is completed, it automatically switches from open mesh to group mesh. Voice prompt: "Group Mesh".

To cancel during a group mesh, press the center button once.

If the group mesh is not completed within 30 seconds, users will hear the voice prompt "Group error".

Joining an Existing Group Mesh

During a group mesh, you can invite other users in open mesh to join the group.

  1. The initial user and other users (C and D) enter the group mesh by pressing the center button for 5 seconds.
  2. Upon completion of the group mesh, other users (C and D) automatically join the group mesh while leaving the open mesh. Voice prompt: "Group Mesh".

New Participants (C & D)

If the group mesh is not completed within 30 seconds, the current user (initial user) will hear a double low tone beep, while new users (C and D) will hear the voice prompt "Group error".

Switching Open/Group Mesh

You can switch between open mesh and group mesh without resetting the mesh.

If you have never participated in a group mesh, you cannot switch between open mesh and group mesh. The voice prompt "No group available" will be issued.

Resetting Mesh

If the BiKom 20 resets the mesh while in open mesh or group mesh mode, it automatically returns to open mesh, channel 1.

Press and hold the center button for 8 seconds. Voice prompt: "Mesh Reset".

Using with a Smartphone

Phone Pairing

  1. Access the pairing mode by pressing and holding the center button for 5 seconds. Voice prompt: "Phone pairing".
  2. Select "BiKom 20" from the list of Bluetooth devices on your smartphone.

To cancel phone pairing, press any button.

Making and Answering Calls

Speed Dial

Assigning Speed Dial Numbers

You can assign speed dial numbers using the Sena Cycling app.

Using Speed Dial Numbers

  1. Access the speed dial menu by pressing and holding the center button for 3 seconds. Voice prompt: "Speed dial".
  2. Navigate through the speed dial numbers by pressing the (+) or (-) button.
  3. Confirm the selection by pressing the center button once. Voice prompt: "Speed dial (#)".

Music

Voice Cycling Computer

The BiKom 20's Voice Cycling Computer (ABC) function connects to your bike's sensors and provides real-time notifications during your ride. Simply pair the BiKom 20 with Shimano's Digital Integrated Intelligence (Di2) system to receive seamless voice updates.

Pairing BiKom 20 with Shimano Di2

To use the ABC function with Shimano Di2, you must first pair the Di2 system with the BiKom 20.

Shimano Di2 System

Activate Bluetooth pairing mode on the Di2 device.

BiKom 20

  1. Access the configuration menu by pressing and holding the center button for 10 seconds. Voice prompt: "Configuration menu".
  2. Navigate to the Shimano Pairing option by pressing the center button once. Voice prompt: "Shimano pairing in progress".
  3. Wait for the voice prompt: "Shimano connected".

To cancel, press the (-) button, then the center button to exit.

If pairing is not completed within 3 minutes, the voice prompt "Exit" will be issued. Subsequently, try again from the first step.

Voice Notifications

Once Shimano pairing is complete, the BiKom 20 will issue the following voice notifications:

Shift Mode Selection

Based on your selection, a voice prompt informs you of the current shift mode. The Di2 system allows for three shift modes.

Upshift/Downshift

When you change gears, a voice prompt informs you of the current gear engaged.

Battery Status

When the battery level drops below 10 percent, you will be notified by a voice prompt.

Firmware Update

You can update the firmware Over-the-Air (OTA) directly from the Sena Cycling app settings.

Troubleshooting

Reset

To reset the BiKom 20 to factory default settings, use the reset function.

  1. Access the configuration menu by pressing and holding the center button for 10 seconds. Voice prompt: "Configuration menu".
  2. Select "Factory reset" by pressing the center button twice. Voice prompt: "Factory reset".
  3. Confirm the reset by pressing the center button once. Voice prompt: "Headset reset, goodbye".

Reset After Error

If the BiKom 20 is on but unresponsive, you can perform an error reset to restore its functionality.

Disconnect the USB-C power cable, then simultaneously press and hold the (+) and center buttons for 8 seconds until the device restarts. All settings will remain unchanged.
