Installation
Mounting Strap
- Attach the mounting strap to the helmet strap.
- Secure the BiKom 20 to the mounting strap.
- Position the device on the helmet.
Clip Attachment for Caps
- Attach the clip to the cap.
- Slide the BiKom 20 onto the clip.
- Adjust the position for optimal audio.
Basic Operation
Button Actions:
- Tap: Tap the button as indicated.
- Hold: Hold the button as indicated.
- Voice Prompt: Voice notification.
- LED: Indicator light.
Charging

It takes 2.5 hours for the device to fully charge.
- Any USB charger from another manufacturer can be used if it has FCC, CE, or IC approval, or other regionally recognized approval from a regulatory authority.
- Using an unapproved charger may lead to fire, explosion, or leakage of gas or liquid. Other hazards may reduce the battery's lifespan or performance.
Powering On/Off
- Power On: Hold the center button for 1 second.
- Power Off: Tap the center button once.
Microphone Mute On/Off
Use the flip microphone arm to mute or unmute the microphone.
- Mute: "Microphone muted"
- Unmute: "Microphone unmuted"
Volume Control
Tap the (+) or (-) button to adjust volume.
Mesh Intercom
The BiKom 20 offers two Mesh Intercom modes:
- Open Mesh™: For open group communication via intercom.
- Group Mesh™: For private group communication via intercom.

Switching Mesh Versions
Mesh 3.0 is the latest Mesh Intercom technology. To communicate with older products using Mesh 2.0, switch to Mesh 2.0 using the Sena Cycling app.
Mesh Intercom On/Off
- On: Tap the center button once. Voice prompt: "Mesh Intercom on, Open Mesh, Channel 1".
- Off: Tap the center button once. Voice prompt: "Mesh Intercom off".
Channel Selection
- Access channel settings by tapping the center button twice.
- Navigate between channels by tapping the (+) or (-) button.
- Confirm and save the channel by tapping the center button once. Voice prompt: "Channel set, Channel #".
The channel is automatically saved if no button is pressed for 10 seconds, or when the BiKom 20 is turned off.
Group Mesh
Group Mesh allows for private group conversations for up to 24 participants.
Creating a Group Mesh
- Users (You, A, and B) join the mesh grouping by holding the center button for 5 seconds while in Open Mesh. They do not need to be on the same Open Mesh channel. Voice prompt: "Mesh grouping".
- After the mesh grouping is complete, it automatically switches from Open Mesh to Group Mesh. Voice prompt: "Group Mesh".
To cancel mesh grouping, tap the center button.
If mesh grouping is not completed successfully within 30 seconds, you will hear the voice prompt "Grouping failed".
Joining an Existing Group Mesh
While in a Group Mesh, you can invite other users from Open Mesh to join the group.

- You and other users (C and D) join the mesh grouping by holding the center button for 5 seconds. Voice prompt: "Mesh grouping".
- Once mesh grouping is complete, users C and D automatically join the Group Mesh, while Open Mesh remains active. Voice prompt: "Group Mesh".
If mesh grouping is not completed successfully within 30 seconds, the current user will hear two low beeps, and new users (C and D) will hear the voice prompt "Grouping failed".
Switching Between Open Mesh and Group Mesh
You can switch between Open Mesh and Group Mesh without resetting the mesh.

- Hold the center button for 3 seconds to switch.
- If you have never joined a Group Mesh, you cannot switch between Open Mesh and Group Mesh. You will hear the voice prompt "No group available".
Reset Mesh
When the BiKom 20 resets the mesh while in Open Mesh or Group Mesh, it automatically returns to Open Mesh, Channel 1.
Hold the center button for 8 seconds. Voice prompt: "Mesh reset".
Using with a Smartphone
Pairing Phone
- Access pairing mode by holding the center button for 5 seconds. Voice prompt: "Phone pairing".
- Select "BiKom 20" from the Bluetooth list on your smartphone. A confirmation message will appear.
Tap any button to complete the smartphone pairing.
Making and Receiving Calls
- Answer Call: Tap the center button once.
- End Call: Hold the center button for 2 seconds.
- Reject Call: Hold the center button for 2 seconds.
- Activate Voice Assistant: Hold the center button for 3 seconds.
Speed Dial
Assigning Speed Dial Presets
Speed dial presets are configured using the Sena Cycling app.
Using Speed Dial Numbers
- Access the speed dial menu by tapping the center button twice.
- Navigate forward or backward through speed dial presets by tapping the center button once.
- Confirm your selection by tapping the center button once. Voice prompt: "Speed dial (#)".
Options include: Last number redial, Speed dial (1-2-3), Cancel.
Music
- Play/Pause Music: Tap the center button once.
- Fast Forward/Rewind: Hold the center button for 1 second.
Acoustic Cycling Computer
The BiKom 20's Acoustic Cycling Computer (ACC) connects with bicycle sensors and provides real-time voice notifications about your ride. By pairing the BiKom 20 with the digital intelligence system (Di2) from Shimano, you receive uninterrupted voice updates.
- Check local laws and regulations before use.
- Using this feature while riding can pose a safety risk. Stay alert and ride cautiously.
- Use of the feature is at your own risk and responsibility.
Pairing BiKom 20 with Shimano Di2
To use the ACC function with Shimano's Di2 system, you must first pair the BiKom 20 with the Di2 system.
Shimano Di2 System
Activate the Bluetooth mode of your device.
- Access the configuration menu by holding the center button for 10 seconds. Voice prompt: "Configuration menu".
- Navigate to the Shimano pairing option by tapping the center button once. Voice prompt: "Shimano pairing".
- Wait for a voice prompt. Voice prompt: "Shimano connected".
To cancel, tap the (-) button and then tap the center button to exit. If pairing is not completed within 3 minutes, you will hear the voice prompt "End". Then repeat the first step.
Voice Notifications
Once Shimano pairing is complete, the BiKom 20 provides the following types of voice notifications:
Shift Mode Selection
Based on your selection, a voice prompt informs you of the current shift mode. The Di2 system offers three shift modes.
- "Manual shifting mode"
- "Synchro-shift mode 1"
- "Synchro-shift mode 2"
Gear Shifting Up and Down
When you shift, a voice prompt informs you of the current gear position.
- "Gear forward #"
- "Gear backward #"
Battery Status
When the battery level drops below 10%, you will be notified by a voice prompt.
- "Shimano battery is low"
Firmware Update
You can update the firmware Over-the-Air (OTA) directly through the settings in the Sena Cycling app.
Troubleshooting
Reset
Simply use the corresponding function to reset the BiKom 20 to factory settings.
- Access the configuration menu by holding the center button for 10 seconds. Voice prompt: "Configuration menu".
- Select "Factory settings" by tapping the center button twice. Voice prompt: "Factory settings".
- Reset the headset by tapping the center button once. Voice prompt: "Headset reset, goodbye".
Reset on Malfunction
If the BiKom 20 is on but not responding, you can reset it to factory settings to restore functionality. Ensure the USB-C charging cable is disconnected, then hold the (+) button and the center button simultaneously for 8 seconds until the device restarts. All settings remain unchanged.
