LCD Display Icons
The LCD display shows various icons indicating the radio's status and functions. Key icons include:
- CT: Analog Sub-audio Tone Indicator.
- DCS: Digital Sub-audio Tone Indicator.
- H/M/L: High/Medium/Low Power Indicator.
- W/N: Wideband/Narrowband Mode Indicator.
- +/-: Frequency Mode (+/- Frequency Offset).
- R: Frequency/Channel Mode Inverted Frequency.
- T: Simplex Mode.
- SC: Encryption Indicator.
- AM: AM Modulation Indicator.
- SCR: Scrambler Function.
- VOX: Voice-Operated Transmission.
- DW: Dual Standby.
- HO: Monitor Function Enabled.

- Keypad Lock: Appears when the keypad is locked.

- A/B Band: Indicates active band.

Basic Operations
Main Frequency Band Selection
Short press the (A/B) key to select the main frequency band. The larger display indicates the active band.
PTT Function
Press the PTT key to transmit on the currently selected band (A or B).
Channel Mode and Frequency Mode Switch
Short press the 【VFO/MR】 key to switch between channel mode and frequency mode.
AM Air Band Mode
Switch to frequency mode and input the air band frequency (108-136 MHz). The radio enters AM reception mode.
Scanning Mode
Assign scanning functions to PF2/PF3 keys or long press button 1. Modes include Time Operation (TO), Carrier Operation (CO), and Search Operation (SE).
Commercial FM Radio Broadcast Reception
Long press button 0 to turn on FM RADIO. Use UP/DOWN keys or keypad to adjust frequency. Press # for automatic channel search. Long press 0 again to turn off.
Frequency Sweep Function / Copy Frequency
Define PF2/PF3 as SEARCH. Press the button to seek nearby frequencies and sub-tones. Press OK to select a frequency band (UHF/VHF/200M/300M). Press MENU to save or UP/DOWN to continue scanning.
Weather Forecast NOAA Function
Press the designated PF button to activate NOAA weather forecasts. Use UP/DOWN keys to select frequencies. This function is country-dependent.
DTMF Encode Sending
Press and hold PTT while entering numbers to transmit DTMF codes. Short press # to enter DTMF code editing.
PTT-ID Function
Transmit identity or call codes via DTMF. Configurable through programming software. Transmission methods: Send on Press, Send on Release, Send Both.
Menu Function Operation Instructions
- Press 【OK/MENU】 to select a menu.
- Press 【OK/MENU】 again to enter the selected menu.
- Use UP/DOWN keys or keypad to choose options or input numbers.
- Press 【OK/MENU】 to confirm and return to the main menu.
- Press 【EXIT】 to exit the menu.
Note: Frequency step, repeater shift direction, and frequency shift can only be set in frequency mode.
Shortwave Interface
Long press 【0】 to enter the shortwave interface. Short press 【*】 to switch STEP/BW/LNA/BFO. Press 【MENU】 to select modulation, and 【#】 to search frequency.
