WARNING
This wiring information is provided for use by qualified service personnel only. Disconnect appliance from electrical supply before beginning service. Be sure all grounding devices are connected when service is complete. Failure to observe the above warnings may result in severe electrical shock.
Wiring Diagram Overview
The following diagrams illustrate the electrical connections and components for the Sub-Zero PRO48 refrigerator.
Page 1: High Voltage Wiring
This page details the high voltage connections, including the power supply cord, compressor, variable speed control box, icemaker, water valve, and various zone lighting and heaters. It shows the flow of power to different components and zones within the appliance.
Page 2: Low Voltage Wiring and Sensors
This page focuses on the low voltage wiring, including connections to the main control board, sensors (refrigerator and freezer evaporator, cabinet, ambient, condenser), fan motors, and door heaters. It highlights the sensor inputs and their corresponding jacket cable markings.
Page 3: Wiring Schematic
This page provides a schematic view of the entire system, including the main control board, various switches (water filter, door, drawer), motors (condenser fan), valves (water valve), heaters (fill tube, trough, defrost), and compressors. It also shows the connections for thermistors and side lights.
Page 4: Troubleshooting and Control Circuits
This page covers troubleshooting steps, including how to enter and exit Service Mode. It also details the control circuits, listing the connections to the main control board for various sensors, switches, and outputs. The Service Mode Menu options for diagnostics, status, thermistors, activation, statistics, and model information are also presented.
Control Circuits Detail
The main control board serves as the central hub for all electrical operations. Key connections include:
- Power Input: L1, Neutral, 12 VDC Power, Ground Return
- Zone Control: Speed signals and tachometer inputs for Zone 1, Zone 3, and Zone 4 evaporator fans.
- Sensors: Inputs for various thermistors (evaporator, cabinet, condenser, ambient) for all zones.
- Outputs: Control signals for compressors, fans, heaters (defrost, trough, fill tube, door, accent lights), water valves, and icemaker accessories.
- Communication: 485 Network connection.
- User Interface: Connections for keypad and display boards.
Service Mode Menu
The Service Mode allows for diagnostics and configuration. Key functions include:
- Diagnostics: Self-test, error history, thermistor readings, activate zones, and view statistics (run time, cycles, temperatures).
- Model Information: View and potentially change the model configuration (PRO48, PRO48G).
- Version Information: Check firmware versions for various components (HV MICRO, EEPROM, LCDs, Logger, Keypad).
Troubleshooting Flow
Basic troubleshooting involves adjusting temperature settings (WARMER/COLDER) and responding to alarms. To enter Service Mode, press and hold 'COLDER' then press 'POWER'. To exit, press 'ICE MAKER'.
