How to Use the New Dashboard

The newly added dashboard can be customized as desired by selecting the desired information for each user, adding widgets, and freely arranging the widgets.

New Dashboard Main Screen

The main screen displays various data through widgets. The image shows an example screen and may differ from the actual screen.

1 Widget Area The area where user-added widgets are displayed. Widgets can be freely adjusted in size within limits and placed in empty areas without overlapping.
2 Refresh Refreshes the new dashboard page to update widget data. The refresh cycle can be set in Auto Refresh Interval in Dashboard Settings.
3 Dashboard Settings Allows adding new widgets or setting the data and appearance of existing widgets.

Adding Widgets

  1. Click Launch New Dashboard on the main screen of BioStar 2.
  2. Click Add Widget. If widgets have already been added, click the settings icon ⚙️ to enter Dashboard Settings, then click Add Widget.
  3. Select the desired Widget Types and configure the required fields.

Widget Types

The default widget size is optimized for each widget. All widgets can be resized by dragging the lower-right corner.

Chart Widget

Selecting desired chart data enables the display of events in a chart format.

The charts shown with Color Schemes are random values for preview and not actual data.

Counter Widget

Displays the number of events as a numerical count.

Text Widget

Allows users to enter and place text on the dashboard. This can be used as a title for a widget or as a notice. Line-breaks are allowed, but exceeding lines will be cut off. The font size will not be resized.

If the 'Remove Background' option is selected when creating a Text widget, transparency will be applied to the background.

Real-time Events

Shows events occurring in BioStar 2 in real time. Events can be filtered by specific events, users, doors, and devices.

Navigating to another page and returning to the New Dashboard will clear the list, and events will be logged anew.

Checkpoint

Select a device to display the profile photo and information (Name, ID, Period, Device Name) of the user who authenticated in real time.

Checkpoints are recorded for up to 5 people.

System Usage

Displays the usage status of BioStar 2 in numbers. The following statuses can be shown:

Door Control

Allows users to check and control the status of a selected door.

The Door Control widget name is automatically assigned to the door name and cannot be modified.

Edit Widget

  1. Click Launch New Dashboard on the main screen of BioStar 2.
  2. Click ⚙️ in the upper right to enter Dashboard Settings.
  3. Click ✏️ at the top right of the Widget you want to edit.
  4. After making edits, click Apply to save the changes.
  5. Adjustments to widgets are applied and saved by clicking Apply in the Dashboard Settings screen.

Widget Types cannot be changed in the Edit Widget screen. System Usage, Checkpoint, and Door Control widgets with specific names cannot have their Widget Name modified.

Delete Widget

  1. Click Launch New Dashboard on the main screen of BioStar 2.
  2. Click ⚙️ in the upper right to enter Dashboard Settings.
  3. Click ?️ at the top right of the Widget you want to delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion in the pop-up window by clicking Yes.
  5. Click Apply at the top right of the Dashboard Settings screen to apply the deletion.
