For products that include batteries
Instructions for users on the removal, recycling, and disposal of used batteries
To remove batteries from your equipment or remote control, reverse the procedure described in the owner's manual for inserting batteries. For products with a built-in battery that is meant to last the product's lifetime, the user cannot remove it. In this case, recycling or recovery centers handle the dismantling of the product and battery removal. If, for any reason, it becomes necessary to replace such a battery, this procedure must be carried out by authorized service centers. In the European Union and other locations, it is illegal to dispose of any battery with household waste. All batteries must be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. Contact your local waste management officials for information on environmentally safe collection, recycling, and disposal of used batteries.
WARNING: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. To reduce the risk of fire, explosion, or leakage of flammable liquid or gas, do not disassemble, crush, puncture, short-circuit, expose to temperatures above 60 °C (140 °F), direct sunlight, or similar, expose to extremely low air pressure, or dispose of in fire or water. Replace only with the batteries specified. The symbol indicating "separate collection" for all batteries and accumulators is the crossed-out wheeled bin shown below:
For all products with wireless operation:
HARMAN International hereby declares that this equipment is in compliance with the essential requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 2014/53/EU. The Declaration of Conformity can be viewed in the specifications section of the product details page, accessible from www.jbl.com or www.jbl.com/doc.
WARNING: For products that contain coin/button batteries
DO NOT INGEST BATTERY. CHEMICAL BURN HAZARD. This product contains a coin/button battery. If swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just two hours and can lead to death. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
Epilepsy Warning
Some people may experience epileptic seizures when exposed to flashing lights.
Precautions for mounting the stand
Always follow the safety instructions and warnings from the speaker and stand manufacturer.
This speaker features a mounting hole that allows it to be mounted on a 35 mm pole of tripod stands or on a 35 mm pole on subwoofers. When using stands or poles, ensure you take the following precautions:
- Check the specification of the stand or pole to ensure the device is designed to support the speaker's weight. Pay attention to all safety precautions specified by the manufacturer.
- Always ensure the stand (or subwoofer/pole) is placed on a smooth, stable surface and ensure the legs of tripod stands are fully extended. Position the stand so that the legs do not present a tripping hazard.
- Use this floor stand only on smooth, solid surfaces. Once the stand is placed and adjusted (legs extended), carefully tighten the locking knobs and use the safety lock. After placing the speaker on the stand, check its stability: When rocking each side by 10 degrees (relative to the surface), the speaker should not fall off. If necessary, lower the speaker's height and extend the stand's base.
- Route cables so that performers, production personnel, and the audience do not trip over them and pull the speakers down.
- Inspect the stand (or pole and associated hardware) before each use and do not use equipment that is missing parts or is worn or damaged.
- Do not attempt to place more than one PARTYBOX series speaker on a single stand or pole.
- Always exercise caution in windy outdoor conditions. Additional weight (e.g., sandbags) may need to be placed on the stand base to improve stability. Avoid placing signs or similar items on any part of a speaker system. Such accessories could act like a sail and pull the system over.
- Unless you are confident you can handle the speaker's weight, ask another person to help you place it on the tripod or pole stand.
