Troubleshooting Tips - Q & A
Camera will not connect to my Wi-Fi network
- Ensure the LED is blinking blue. If blinking red, press and hold the Reset Button (located behind the cover on the side of the camera) to reset.
- Verify you are using a 2.4GHz network, as the device does not connect to 5GHz networks.
- Test your Wi-Fi network with other devices to ensure it's operating correctly.
- Check Wi-Fi range; at least 2 signal bars are recommended for a proper connection.
- Ensure the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly (it is case-sensitive).
The camera is off-line
- Check for temporary internet connection issues or service disruptions.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi router is powered on.
- Confirm the camera has power (wall switch and breaker are ON).
- Cycle the power: turn it OFF and ON. The status LED should blink red then turn solid blue in about 1 minute. If not, repeat the setup process.
- Ensure the camera has a good Wi-Fi signal (at least 2 bars recommended).
- If disconnected, press and hold the Reset Button until a blinking blue LED and audible tone are heard.
What do the blinking LEDs mean?
- Blinking BLUE = Pairing Mode
- Blinking RED = No Wi-Fi Connection
- Solid RED = Rebooting
- Solid BLUE = Connected to Internet
Live video stream is slow to load
- Check your phone's cellular connection strength.
- Ensure sufficient internet bandwidth at home; other streaming services can cause congestion.
- Verify Wi-Fi reception strength (at least 2 bars recommended). Consider a Wi-Fi repeater or extender if needed.
How to reset the camera to re-enter pairing mode?
Press and hold the reset button located behind the cover on the side of the camera until a blinking blue LED and an audible tone are heard.
The camera is not recording?
- Ensure the 'Record Switch' is turned ON in the app under 'SD Card Settings'.
- Verify the microSD card is installed correctly. Check 'SD Card Settings' in the app to confirm capacity information is displayed.
- If issues persist, consider reformatting the microSD card (this will delete all videos).
How do I set the camera to Event or Continuous Recording?
In the Settings menu under 'SD Card Settings', ensure 'Record Switch' is ON, then select 'Event Recording' or 'Continuous Recording'.
How can I check the available space on the SD Card?
In the Settings menu under 'SD Card Settings', 'Used Space' and 'Free Space' are displayed. The camera supports microSD cards up to 128GB.
What happens when the microSD card reaches full capacity?
A notification will be sent when storage is almost full. Once full, new videos will overwrite the oldest ones.
Can I use a new microSD card if I do not want to record over existing videos?
Yes. Replace the existing microSD card (up to 128GB) with a new one. Format the new card via 'SD Card Settings' in the app by pressing 'Format SD Card' and confirming. Note: Formatting deletes all content.
