This diagram illustrates how the components assemble onto a door. It shows the exterior handle assembly (A), interior handle assembly (B), latch mechanism (C), latch plate (D), strike plate (E), and rosette/cover plate (F) fitting together. Key dimensions are indicated: backset options of 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm), spindle length of 1" (25mm), latch dimensions of 2-1/8" (54mm), and door thickness compatibility from 1-3/8" (35mm) to 2" (50mm). The spindle length is 3/8" (10mm).
1. Adjust the backset of latch (if needed)
Step 1A: Hold the latch mechanism in front of the door hole, ensuring the latch face is flush against the door edge.
Step 1B: Check alignment. If the latch holes align with the door hole, no adjustment is required, and you can proceed to Step 2. If misaligned, adjust the latch. The diagram shows a correct alignment for a 60mm (2 3/8 in) backset (✔️) and an incorrect alignment (❌).
Step 1C: For latch adjustment (only if needed), slide the latch mechanism to the right (➡️) to achieve a 70mm (2 3/4 in) backset.
2. Install the latch
Insert the latch mechanism into the prepared hole on the door edge. Secure it using the G Latch/Strike Screws.
Note: The square hole for the spindle must be horizontal.
Note: Ensure that the beveled edge of the lock tongue is oriented towards the direction the door swings shut.
3. Install the exterior Handle
Mount the exterior handle assembly onto the door. The diagram indicates adjustable size for installation.
Note: During the installation, avoid pressing the button, or the lock will get stuck.
The exterior handle assembly can be moved up and down by 1-1/4" for proper alignment.
Install the washer (F) and the cover plate.
4. Install the interior handle lock
Attach the interior handle lock to the square bolt on the outside and align the screws (H) from the interior latch towards the posts. Tighten the screws and test the lock.
5. Install the strike
Mount the strike plate (E) onto the door frame by aligning it with the latch height before drilling the required holes. Secure it using the G screws.
