Installation Overview
This diagram illustrates the assembly process of the smart lock components onto a door. The exterior lock (a) attaches to the front rubber pad (b), which is mounted on the door. The mounting plate (c) secures the assembly. The deadbolt (e) passes through the door, and the interior lock (d) is attached to the mounting plate. Screws (i, j, k, l) are used for fastening various parts, and the battery cover is part of the interior lock assembly.
How to Install the Lock
Ensure your door meets the following requirements before installation:
- Door Thickness: 1-3/8" to 2"
- Hole Diameter (Cross-bore): 2-1/8"
- Backset Size: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4"
Deadbolt Adjustment: If the backset is 70mm, turn the faceplate 180° to extend its length.
Diagram showing door dimensions: 2-1/8" (Cross-bore diameter), 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (Backset), 1-3/8" to 2" (Door thickness). Diagram showing deadbolt adjustment: a 2-3/8" (60mm) deadbolt can be extended to 2-3/4" (70mm) by rotating the faceplate 180°.
- Fix the deadbolt (e) with 2 deadbolt/strike plate screws (i) and ensure it is retracted.
- Attach the exterior lock (a) to the front rubber pad (b) and secure it onto the door.
- Make sure the paddle is slid through the deadbolt and the cable is threaded through the door hole. NOTE: 1. Route the cable below the deadbolt. 2. Deadbolt must be in unlock position, and the paddle must be in 'horizontal' status.
- Peel the tape off the mounting plate (j). Ensure the cable passes through the door and is positioned near the mounting plate. Then, fix the exterior lock with 2 interior lock screws (l); screw (i) can be fixed selectively.
- Insert the cable into the wire connector and ensure it is properly and securely installed. Insert the paddle into the hole at the back of the thumb turn. NOTE: When pressing the indoor panel against the door, try to conceal the wires inside the door or place them in the designated wire-housing areas on the indoor panel.
- Open the battery cover. Fix the back body (interior lock) to the mounting plate with 3 interior lock screws (k or l).
- Place the batteries (?) in position and close the battery cover. NOTE: Insert AA batteries into the interior assembly while the door is locked.
- Set the direction of the lock: This lock requires the deadbolt to be engaged to identify the open direction. Please make sure the deadbolt is engaged after installation. NOTE: If the deadbolt is retracted, a red light will flash, accompanied by a sound alarm to indicate that the lock's opening direction is not set. Please rotate the thumb turn to engage the deadbolt and set the opening direction.
