Troubleshooting
Pairing or Connection Issues:
- Verify that your wireless device supports the wireless profiles listed in the specifications.
- Ensure the Soomfon BT17 and your device are close to each other, within approximately 1 meter (3 feet).
- Confirm that both the Soomfon BT17 and the wireless device are in pairing mode.
- If wireless pairing with a mobile phone is repeatedly failing, check if you are using the correct power input. The device supports 5V DC power. Avoid using fast chargers or low-quality power supplies, as low voltage or overcurrent protection may activate.
No Sound from Sound System:
- Output defaults to AUX. If using Optical output, ensure no external AUX cable is connected to the AUX output port.
- In Light (Optical) mode, the Soomfon BT17 supports sampling rates up to 48kHz.
- Ensure the TV's audio format is set to PCM (Figure 1) and the TV's audio output is set to "External Speakers" (Figure 2).
Figure 1 shows TV settings for audio format, highlighting PCM. Figure 2 shows TV settings for speaker output, selecting "External Speakers".
