Before First Use
- Unpack the appliance and check all accessories (ice basket, ice scoop, etc.). Contact customer service if any are missing.
- Place the ice maker on a flat surface.
- The incline angle of the ice maker cabinet should not exceed 45 degrees during transportation or use. Do not turn it upside down, as this could cause compressor/refrigerating system malfunction. Allow fluids in the compressor to settle for 2 hours after moving before first use.
- Place the appliance on a dry, level surface with sufficient ventilation, away from heat sources (ovens, heaters) and corrosive gases. Maintain a 15cm clearance on all sides for ventilation.
- Do not fill the water reservoir with hot water, as it may damage the ice maker. Use room temperature or colder water.
- Do not use the appliance in cold environments (below 5°C).
- Clean the appliance according to the "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE" section before operation.
Using Your Ice Maker
- Ensure the drain plug at the back is closed securely.
- Plug the ice maker into a wall outlet. The [ON/OFF] indicator flashes. Note: Rest the ice maker for 30 minutes before plugging if it has been moved.
- Open the front lid and remove the ice basket.
- Fill the water reservoir with drinking water, ensuring not to exceed the MAX water level mark.
- Replace the ice basket and close the front lid.
- Press the "ON/OFF" key (long press then release). The [ON/OFF] indicator lights solidly.
- The ice-making cycle takes approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on ambient and water temperature.
- The ice-making assembly produces ice when water is pumped into it. Ice cubes transfer to the ice tray and then drop into the ice basket. This repeats until the basket is full.
- When the ice basket is full, the [Ice full] indicator lights up, and the ice maker stops automatically. Remove ice with the scoop. Replace the basket and close the lid; the ice maker will restart automatically. If ice is not removed, it will resume after about 8 hours, or you can press "ON/OFF" to restart.
- The [Water refill] indicator flashes when automatic/manual water refill is needed.
- With automatic water filling: The machine may start refilling automatically (approx. 3.5 mins wait). Alternatively, remove the ice basket, manually add water to the MAX line after closing the front door. Do not add water without closing the front door to prevent overflow.
- Without external water source: Remove the ice basket, manually fill the reservoir, close the front lid, and the ice maker will restart.
- When the [Water shortage] indicator lights solidly, it means water shortage and the unit stops.
- For automatic water filling: Check tap water pressure or ensure the pipe is connected and the switch is on.
- For manual filling: Remove the ice basket, manually add water to fill the sink, close the front door panel, and the machine will return to its working state.
- When desired ice amount is reached, press "ON/OFF" to stop the cycle and unplug the unit.
- Transfer ice to a freezer.
- Allow the ice maker to reach room temperature.
- Replace water every week. Empty the reservoir if the ice maker is not used for a long time.
- The ice maker can connect to an external water source using a 1/4 PE tube, as shown in Fig. 1 in the "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE" section.
Cleaning and Maintenance
To keep ice tasting fresh, clean the ice maker at least once per week.
- Remove the ice basket, add water and detergent to the water reservoir. Press and hold "Clean" for about 3 seconds; the [Clean] indicator lights up, entering cleaning mode.
- After 8 minutes, the appliance stops, and the [Clean] indicator flashes.
- Rotate the machine 90 degrees. Remove the drain tube at the back, place it at a sewage port, and open the drain plug. Sewage will discharge until the machine is drained.
- Close the drain plug, fill the reservoir with water, and press "Clean" again. The [Clean] indicator lights up, entering cleaning mode.
- Repeat step 3 after removing the detergent.
- Clean the inside with a soft cloth soaked in warm water and vinegar.
- Close the drain pipe. Place the drain plug in its slot. Clean the ice basket and ice scoop in warm soapy water, then rinse and dry.
- Clean the exterior with a soft damp cloth, using mild dishwashing soap if needed.
- Do not use organic solvents, boiled water, strong acids, or strong alkalis for cleaning.
- Empty and dry the water reservoir for storage if the ice maker is not used for a long time.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Causes | Solution |
---|---|---|
? [Water refill] flashes | 1. Lack of water. 2. Water screen at the bottom of the reservoir is blocked. 3. Pump malfunction. 4. Foreign objects blocking the water reservoir float. | 1. Stop making ice, refill water, and press "ON/OFF" to restart. 2. Remove and clean the water screen. 3. Send to authorized department for repair. 4. Check for foreign objects and restart. |
? [Ice full] lights up | 1. Ice basket is full. 2. Malfunction of infrared ray sensor. | 1. Remove ice and press "ON/OFF" to restart. 2. Send to authorized department for repair. |
❄️ [Defrosting] lights solidly | The ice-making assembly is defrosting. | No action needed; the appliance will handle it automatically, returning to normal operation in 30-45 minutes. Alternatively, press and hold "Clean" for 3 seconds, then press "ON/OFF" to restart after cleaning. |
? [Freeze] flashes | The ice-making assembly is frozen. | No action needed. Allow the appliance to defrost automatically for about 20 minutes. It can be used again after power cycling. If this recurs, it may indicate refrigerant leakage; send to an authorized department for maintenance. |
Poor ice-making result (ice produced is broken, process takes > 2 hours) | 1. Poor heat dissipation. 2. Water temperature is too high. 3. Ambient temperature is too high. 4. The ice-making system is abnormal. | 1. Maintain 15cm clearance on all sides for ventilation. 2. Fill reservoir with water between 8°C and 28°C. 3. Operate in an ambient temperature between 10°C and 32°C. 4. Call customer service. |
