Timer Setup
Important Notes Before Setup
The 4 valves will always open in sequence and are not able to open at the same time. This is to ensure sufficient water flow pressure for each valve, which is necessary to open the built-in solenoid valves.
Step 1: Set Clock
Turn the dial to 'SET CLOCK'. Use the +/- buttons to set the current time. Press the OK button to switch between hour and minute. During SET CLOCK, long-press the OK button (3 seconds) to switch between 12H/24H format. Turn the dial to save changes.
Step 2: Start Time
Turn the dial to 'START TIME'. Use the +/- buttons to set the start time. Press the OK button to switch between hour and minute. During START TIME, press the ZONE button to switch between zones 1/2/3/4. Turn the dial to save changes.
Step 3: How Long
Turn the dial to 'HOW LONG'. Use the +/- buttons to set the watering duration. Press the OK button to switch between hour and minute. The maximum watering duration is 3 hours and 59 minutes. Setting the duration to 0 hour and 0 minute means the program will not run. During HOW LONG, press the ZONE button to switch between zones 1/2/3/4. Turn the dial to save changes.
Step 4: How Often
Turn the dial to 'HOW OFTEN'. Use the +/- buttons to set the watering frequency. Press the OK button to confirm. During HOW OFTEN, press the ZONE button to switch between zones 1/2/3/4. Turn the dial to save changes.
Note: Watering programs where 'HOW LONG' is greater than 'HOW OFTEN' will be automatically skipped.
Step 5: Automatic Watering
Turn the dial to 'ON' to start the program. When watering is OFF, the LCD screen flashes between the next watering start time and the current time. When watering is ON, the LCD screen displays the remaining time of the current program.
Manual Watering
Manual watering allows you to water without interrupting preset programs.
To access manual watering:
- With the dial at ON, long-press the MANUAL button (3 seconds).
- Press the + button to select watering zones, and the – button to unselect zones (from zone 1 to zone 4).
- After selecting zones, press the OK button to confirm and move to manual watering duration setup.
- Press +/- buttons to set the manual watering duration. Press OK to confirm.
- Manual watering starts, and the LCD screen displays the remaining time.
- To cancel manual watering, turn the dial to OFF and then back to ON.
Delay Watering
Delay watering allows you to postpone programs for a period of time.
To access delay watering:
- With the dial at ON, long-press the DELAY button (3 seconds).
- Press +/- buttons to select a delay of 0/24/48/72 hours. Press OK to confirm.
- Delay watering starts, and the LCD screen displays the remaining time before the preset program resumes.
- To cancel delay watering, long-press the DELAY button (3 seconds) with the dial at ON.
Important Notes
- When one program has more than one valve to run, the timer will open the valves one by one in sequence of zone number, meaning only ONE valve can open at the same time.
- The four zones cannot open simultaneously; only one zone can open at a time. If the start times for multiple zones are the same, priority is given to the first zone. After the first zone completes, the second, then the third, and finally the fourth zone will execute.
- When the low battery indicator appears, all four valves will close automatically to prevent leakage. Please replace batteries promptly to avoid interrupting programs.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Factors | Solutions May Help |
---|---|---|
Condensation on the screen | Air condenses inside the screen due to temperature difference between inside and outside. | The fog disappears when the temperature rises, or leave it stand for a period of time. |
Low water pressure | Filter blockage. Inlet water pressure is not sufficient to support watering needs. |
Check if the filter is clogged; if so, clean or replace the filter. Make sure the timer is installed properly and not cross-threaded. Install a booster pump or other booster pressurizing equipment to increase water pressure. |
Timer does not water or has low water flow | Batteries are low. The timer dial does not turn to ON. The faucet is not turned on to max. |
Replace with brand new alkaline batteries. Turn the timer dial to the ON position. Turn on the faucet to max. |
Timer is leaking | Filter washer lost or damaged. | Check if filter washer is in place. Check if filter washer is clean and undamaged. Faucet connection is hand tight. |
Water pressure is restricted | The built-in solenoid valves decrease water pressure. | Contact customer service for ball-valve water timers. |
Cannot keep some zones always-off | Setup is not completed. | Set HOW LONG of the desired always-off zones to 0 hour 0 minute. |
