Application Schuberth SC2

The Schuberth SC2 application offers features such as Mesh Intercom, Bluetooth Intercom, Music playback, device settings, and language settings.

Schuberth Device Manager

The Schuberth Device Manager allows you to update firmware and configure settings directly on your PC. Download it from oem.sena.com/schuberth/.

Remote Control for SC2

The remote control features a Plus Button [+], a Central Button, a Minus Button [-], and a Mesh Intercom Button.

Installing the SC2 Remote Control

1. Attach the cover of the SC2 remote control.
2. Insert the remote control into the designated slot.

Installing the SC2

1. Slide the SC2 unit into the helmet mount.
2. Connect the cables, ensuring a click sound (2x).
3. Secure the SC2 unit.
4. Ensure the unit is securely attached (1x click).

Removing the SC2

1. Release the SC2 unit from the helmet mount.
2. Disconnect the cables carefully.

Note: To disconnect cables, wiggle them gently before pulling.

Microphone Installation

1. Attach the microphone to the helmet.
2. Secure the microphone by pressing firmly on the area indicated by an orange circle.

Battery Replacement

1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Use a tool to remove the old battery.
3. Insert a new CR 2016 battery.

Icon Legend

Power Button: Press [+] or hold for 10 seconds.

Function: Press the button(s) the indicated number of times or hold for the specified duration.

Voice Prompts: "Hello"

SC2 Power On/Off

Power On: Hold the Schuberth button for 2 seconds until two beeps are heard.

Voice Prompts: "Hello" or "Goodbye"

To turn off the SC2, hold the multifunction button for 2 seconds until two beeps are heard.

SC2 Remote Control Power On/Off

Power On: Press the button 1x.

Power Off: Hold the button for 3 seconds.

Note: The SC2 and remote control are pre-paired and connect automatically when both are powered on.

Adjusting Volume

Increase Volume: Press the [+] button 1x.

Decrease Volume: Press the [-] button 1x.

Checking Battery Level

Red flashing lights during power-on indicate the charge level.

SC2 Battery Level:

• Hold the Schuberth button for 2 seconds.
• LED indicators show battery level (e.g., red dots).

SC2 Remote Control Battery Level:

• Press the button 1x.
• LED indicators show battery level (e.g., red dots).

Phone Pairing

1. Configuration: Hold the Bluetooth icon for 10 seconds.
2. Phone Pairing: Press the [+] button 1x.
3. PIN: Enter 0000 on your smartphone.

Mobile Phone Operations

Answer Call: Press the call icon 1x.

End or Reject Call: Hold the call icon for 2 seconds.

Siri and Google Assistant

Activate Siri or Google Assistant by saying "Hey Google" or "Hey Siri". Alternatively, hold the button for 3 seconds for a "Beep, Beep" prompt.

Music Controls

Play/Pause: Hold the play/pause icon for 1 second.

Next/Previous Track: Press the [+] or [-] button for 1 second.

Mesh Intercom™

When Mesh Intercom is active, the SC2 connects automatically to all nearby Mesh users, allowing conversation by pressing the Mesh Intercom button.

Activating/Deactivating Mesh Intercom

Press the Mesh Intercom button 1x. Voice prompts: "Mesh intercom activated, Open Mesh, channel 1" or "Mesh intercom deactivated".

Open Mesh™

When Mesh Intercom is active, the headset defaults to Open Mesh (channel 1). Users can communicate freely on the same Open Mesh channel.

Channel Setting (Default: Channel 1)

If Open Mesh communication experiences interference, change the channel. Select a channel between 1 and 9.

Accessing Channel Setting: Press the gear icon 2x. Voice prompt: "Channel setting, 1".

Navigating Channels: Press [+] or [-] 1x. Voice prompt: "#".

Saving Channel: Press the checkmark icon 1x. Voice prompt: "Channel set, channel #".

Note: To exit Channel Setting, press the [+] or [-] button until you hear "Close", then press the central button.

Group Mesh™

Group Mesh is a closed group intercom function that allows users to leave, join, or rejoin a group conversation without pairing headsets. Up to 24 users can connect to the same private group.

Creating a Group Mesh

Creating a Group Mesh requires at least two Open Mesh users.

Steps: User (C) and interlocutor (D) start the Group Mesh function. Hold the button for 5 seconds. Voice prompt: "Group Mesh".

The headsets complete the Group Mesh and automatically switch from Open Mesh to Group Mesh.

Joining an Existing Group Mesh

A member of an existing Group Mesh can authorize new members from Open Mesh to join the Group Mesh.

Steps: An existing member (E) and a new member (C) start the Group Mesh function to join the existing Group Mesh. Hold the button for 5 seconds. Voice prompt: "Group Mesh".

The headsets complete the Group Mesh. New members hear a voice prompt and automatically switch from Open Mesh to Group Mesh.

Resetting the Mesh

If a headset in Open Mesh or Group Mesh mode resets the Mesh, it automatically returns to Open Mesh (default: channel 1).

Reset: Hold the reset icon for 8 seconds. Voice prompt: "Reset Mesh".

Activating/Deactivating Microphone (Default: Active)

Users can activate/deactivate the microphone during Mesh Intercom communication.

Action: Hold the microphone icon for 1 second. Voice prompts: "Microphone activated" or "Microphone deactivated".

Bluetooth Intercom

Up to three additional people can be paired with your headset (A) for Bluetooth intercom conversations.

Intercom Pairing:

• Pairing with Intercom B: User A and User B hold the button for 5 seconds. Voice prompt: "Intercom pairing".

The SC2 is automatically paired with a Sena headset.

The blue flashing LED on the SC2 (main unit) confirms that the intercoms are paired.

Note: Repeat the previous steps to pair with interlocutors C and D.

Two-Way Intercom

Last Arrived, First Served:

• You (A)
• Interlocutor 1 (B)
• Interlocutor 2 (C)
• Interlocutor 3 (D)

Starting/Ending Conversation with Interlocutor 1-3:

• Interlocutor 1: Press button 1x.
• Interlocutor 2: Press button 2x.
• Interlocutor 3: Press button 3x.

FM Radio

Turn FM Radio On/Off: Hold the FM icon for 1 second. Voice prompts: "FM on, ###" or "FM off".

Start/Stop Scanning: Press the search icon [+] for 1 second. Voice prompt: "[FM Frequency]".

Search for Stations: Press the forward [▷] or backward [◁] button 2x.

Browse Preset Stations: Hold the preset icon for 1 second.

Note: You can preset FM stations using the Schuberth SC2 application or the Schuberth Device Manager.

Voice Command

Voice command for the SC2 allows you to perform operations using your voice.

• Turn on Mesh Intercom: "Hey Sena, Turn on Mesh"
• Start Music: "Hey Sena, Start Music"
• Answer Incoming Call: "Answer"

Configuration Menu

Accessing Headset Configuration: Hold the gear icon for 10 seconds. Voice prompt: "Configuration".

Navigating Menu Options: Press the right [>] or left [<] arrow 1x. Voice prompt: "[Menu Instruction]".

Executing Menu Options: Press the checkmark icon 1x.

Troubleshooting

Resetting the SC2: Hold the Schuberth reset icon for 12 seconds. Voice prompt: "Reset, Goodbye".

Resetting the SC2 Remote Control: Hold the [+] button for 1 second.

Pairing the Remote Control

If you are using a remote control other than the one provided, follow these instructions to pair the SC2 and the remote control.

1. Hold the Schuberth icon for 5 seconds. Voice prompt: "Remote control pairing".
2. Hold the [+] button for 8 seconds.
3. The SC2 automatically connects with the remote control. Voice prompt: "Remote control connected".

SC2 Default Reset: Press the reset icon 1x.

Note: Default Reset does not restore factory settings of the headset.
