DISCONNECTING THE BONDED NEUTRAL: This should only be done under specific circumstances and requires consulting a qualified electrician. It involves removing a green/yellow bonded jumper wire.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR GASOLINE AND GASOLINE VAPOR:
- DANGER: Gasoline is highly explosive and flammable.
- WARNING: Never loosen or remove the fuel cap while the generator is running. Turn off and cool for at least five minutes before refueling. Loosen cap slowly.
- WARNING: In case of gasoline fire, ensure the engine/fuel control switch is OFF before attempting to extinguish.
- Handle gasoline with care; never use as a cleaning agent.
- Store gasoline away from heat and ignition sources.
- Always store gasoline in an approved container.
- Do not smoke when handling fuel.
- Wear eye protection while refueling.
- Clean spills immediately.
- Securely tighten the fuel cap after adding gasoline.
- Drain fuel before storing the unit.
LIQUID PETROLEUM GAS (LPG/PROPANE):
- WARNING: Fire and explosion hazard. Never use damaged gas containers, hoses, or cylinders. If you smell propane, close the cylinder valve immediately and check for leaks with soapy water. Do not smoke or use open flames when checking for leaks.
- CAUTION: Only use approved propane cylinders with an Overfilling Prevention Device (OPD) valve. Keep tanks vertical and away from heat sources. Turn off and disconnect the tank when transporting or storing.
- LPG/Propane is highly flammable and explosive.
- LPG/Propane can settle in low places as it is heavier than air.
- Always keep a propane cylinder upright.
- Prevent skin contact with LPG/propane.
- Keep the propane cylinder away from the generator exhaust.
- Be sure the generator and propane cylinder are on a flat surface before operating.
- If there is a propane odor, do not start the unit.

- Store propane cylinders away from ignition sources.
LEAK TESTING: Brush connections with a soapy solution. If bubbles form, there is a leak. Contact customer service if leaks persist.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE CO SENSOR:
- The CO Sensor monitors for carbon monoxide and automatically shuts down the engine if dangerous levels are detected.
- It can also detect CO from other fuel-burning sources.
- If the generator shuts down and the RED indicator light flashes, leave the area immediately and move the generator to a safe, open area.
- The CO Sensor does NOT replace home carbon monoxide alarms.
UNDERSTANDING THE CO SENSOR INDICATOR LIGHTS:
- RED: Unsafe levels of carbon monoxide accumulated. The light flashes after shut-off. Move generator to a safe area and restart once the light is off.

- Add the peak wattage of the largest device to the total running watts to determine the generator's peak wattage requirement.
MANAGING GENERATOR POWER:
- Disconnect all loads before starting the generator.
- Add loads sequentially, starting with the largest device.
- Allow generator output to stabilize between adding loads.
EXTENSION CORDS:
- WARNING: Extension cords running directly into the home increase the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Always use battery-powered carbon monoxide detectors.
- WARNING: Never use worn or damaged extension cords.
- Use grounded 3-prong or double-insulated cords, tools, and appliances.
- Ensure tools/appliances are in good working order.
- Ensure the electrical rating of the tool/appliance does not exceed the generator's capacity.
- NOTICE: Do not exceed wattage and/or amperage capacity.
EXTENSION CORD SIZING: Use cords rated to carry the required load to prevent overheating and voltage drop.
