Westinghouse Quick Start Guide
Before Starting
Install feet to frame.
Action: Tip the generator onto its muffler side, ensuring the engine is at the bottom. Then, install the mounting feet to the frame using M8 flange bolts.
Install wheels.
Action: Install the axle pin, wheel, and washer through the axle bracket on the frame. Secure the axle pin in place by installing the hairpin cotter through it.
Add engine oil.
Action: Remove the oil fill plug/dipstick. Using the supplied 4-cycle engine oil and funnel, slowly add oil to the engine until it is full. Replace the oil fill plug/dipstick.
Add unleaded gasoline to gas tank.
Action: Unscrew the gas cap on top of the tank and insert a clean funnel. Slowly add gasoline into the fuel tank, ensuring the level does not exceed the filler neck. Secure the gas cap.
Starting Procedure
Ensure the generator is located OUTSIDE in a well-ventilated dry area, FAR AWAY from any doors, windows, or vents.
Check fuel and oil levels.
Make sure nothing is plugged into power outlets.
Connect the battery.
Ensure the circuit breakers are properly set to the operating position. (The diagram shows two states: 'Operating' and 'Tripped'.)
Move the fuel valve to the ON position.
Switch the engine switch to RUN.
Choose starting method:
- Push-Button Start: Hold the push-button starter for 1 second and release when the engine starts.
- Wireless Remote Start: Hold the Start button on the wireless remote for 1 second and release.
- Manual Start: Manually set the choke (use Cold Start position for cold engines, Warm Start for warm engines). Pull the recoil handle slowly until resistance is felt, then apply a rapid pull upwards and away from the generator.
Plug in electronic devices.

Engine Oil Recommendations
Recommended Engine Oil Type
Use the following engine oil types based on ambient temperature:
- For all temperatures: 5W-30 Synthetic Oil
- For temperatures from -20°F (-28.9°C) up to 40°F (4.4°C): 5W-30 Oil
- For temperatures from 0°F (-17.8°C) up to 80°F (26.7°C): 10W-40 Oil
- For temperatures from 20°F (-6.7°C) up to 100°F (37.8°C): 10W-30 Oil
Important Note: Always use 4-stroke/cycle engine oil. Never use 2-stroke/cycle oil. Synthetic oil is an acceptable substitute for conventional oil.
