Troubleshooting Guide for ZTE F668: Resolving Wi-Fi and Device Connectivity Issues
This guide provides step-by-step instructions to resolve common problems with your ZTE F668 router, such as frequent Wi-Fi disconnections and other devices being unable to connect.
Step 1: Accessing the Router Interface
Open a web browser and navigate to the router's IP address:
URL: http://192.168.1.1
On the ZTE login page, enter the following credentials:
- Username: admin
- Password: password
Click the Login button.
Step 2: Viewing Device Information
After logging in, click on the Network menu, then select Status, and then Device Information.
This section displays important details about your ZTE F668 device:
- Model: F668

Step 3: Configuring WLAN Basic Settings (QoS Type)
Navigate to Network > WLAN > Basic.
In the QoS Type section, select your SSID from the dropdown menu and click the Submit button.
Tip: Changing the Wireless RF mode from disabled to scheduled may take a minute or so. Please refresh the page after the change.
Current Wireless Settings:
- Wireless RF Mode: Enabled
- Enable Isolation: Enabled
- Mode: Mixed(802.11b+802.11g+802.11n)
- Band Width: Auto
- Channel: Auto
- SGI: Enable
- Beacon Interval: 100 ms
- Transmitting Power: 100%
- QoS Type: WMM
- RTS Threshold: Disabled
- DTIM Interval: SGRV
- WMM: Enabled
Step 4: Configuring Firewall Settings
Go to Security > Firewall.
To enhance security:
- Check the box for Enable Anti-Hacking Protection.
- Set Firewall Level to Off.
Click the Submit button to save the changes.
Step 5: Configuring UPnP Settings
Navigate to Application > UPnP.
To enable UPnP:
- Check the box for Enable.
- For IPv4 WAN Connection, select omci_ipv4_pppoe_1.
Click the Submit button to apply the settings.
Step 6: Rebooting the Device
To apply all changes and ensure the router is functioning correctly, a reboot is recommended.
Go to Administration > System Management > System Management.
Click the Reboot button to restart the device.
Note: Clicking 'Restore Default' will reset the configuration to factory settings and reboot the device.
