Overview
The Victrola Journey II (VSC-600SB) is a versatile record player with multiple playback options. The following components are identified:
- 1. Turntable Platter: The rotating surface where vinyl records are placed.
- 2. Turntable Spindle: The central post that secures the record.
- 3. 45 RPM Adapter: A small adapter for playing 45 RPM records with larger center holes.
- 4. Lift Lever: Used to raise and lower the tonearm gently onto the record.
- 5. Tonearm Clip: Secures the tonearm to its rest when not in use.

Initial Setup
To set up your Victrola Journey II:
- Place the unit on a flat, level surface and open the buckle.
- Remove all packing materials, including any twist ties securing the tonearm.
- Gently pull the stylus cover forward to remove it.
- Plug the included power adapter into the unit.
- Rotate the power knob to turn the unit ON.
Vinyl Mode
To play vinyl records:
- Ensure the unit is ON and the function knob is set to PHONO (Vinyl) mode.
- Place a vinyl record onto the turntable platter.
- Release the tonearm from its rest.
- Use the lift lever to gently raise the tonearm.
- Move the tonearm over the edge of the record.
- Lower the lift lever to begin playback.
- Use the Power/Volume knob to adjust the volume as needed.
Speed Selection
Use the Speed Selection Switch to choose the correct playback speed for your record (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM). Use the included 45 RPM adapter for 45 RPM records.
Auto Stop Selection
The Auto Stop Switch controls automatic stopping. If turned ON, the record will start spinning when the tonearm is moved over it and will stop automatically when playback finishes. If turned OFF, the record will spin continuously after playback is completed in PHONO mode.
RCA Line Out
Connect the red and white RCA connectors on the back of the unit to an amplifier or stereo device. Reduce the record player's volume to minimum before connecting, then increase volume as needed on the connected device.
Headphones
Connect your headphones or earbuds to the headphone jack. Reduce the record player's volume to minimum before connecting, then increase volume as needed.
Note: To avoid damaging vinyl grooves, only touch the center or edges of the record. If no sound is playing, ensure the function knob is set to Vinyl mode, not Vinylstream mode.
Vinylstream™ Mode (Bluetooth)
To play a vinyl record through an external Bluetooth speaker or headphones:
- Turn the unit ON using the power knob.
- Set the function knob to BT OUT (Vinylstream) mode. The LED indicator will flash blue, indicating the unit is searching for Bluetooth devices.
- Turn on your external Bluetooth speaker or headphones and set them to pairing mode.
- On your device, turn on Bluetooth and select “Victrola Journey II” from the list of available devices.
- The unit will chime when successfully connected, and the LED indicator will stop flashing.
- Use your external Bluetooth device to control the volume.
Notes:
- In Vinylstream mode, the unit's internal speakers are disengaged.
- For initial pairing, place the Bluetooth device within 1 meter (3.3 feet) of the Victrola.
- Ensure the unit is within 10 meters (33 feet) of your external device for a strong connection.
- If no sound is playing, ensure the function knob is set to Bluetooth mode.
Aux-In Operation
To play audio from an external device via a wired connection:
- Connect your external audio device to the LINE IN jack (3.5mm) on the platter using a 3.5mm auxiliary cable (not included).
- Turn the unit ON using the power knob.
- Set the function knob to LINE IN (Aux-In) mode. The LED indicator will turn purple.
- Use the Power/Volume knob to adjust the volume. Control other playback functions using the controls on your external audio device.
Stylus Replacement
The stylus should provide approximately 300 hours of normal use. Replace it when sound quality degrades.
Removing the Stylus
- Place fingers at the tip of the stylus and push down towards direction “A”. WARNING: Applying excessive force may damage or break the cartridge.
- Pull the stylus out towards direction “B”.
Installing the Stylus
Use replacement stylus # ITNP-S1.
- Hold the tip of the new stylus and insert the other edge by pressing towards direction “C”.
- Push the stylus upwards towards direction “D” until it locks securely in place.
