Removal Instructions
Vehicles: Ford 2011–90, Lincoln 2007–93, Mazda 2009–98, Mercury 2007–90
Safety First: Please wear safety glasses! ?
- Disconnect battery
- Rotate lock cylinder to the run position.
- Push a small screwdriver or small drift punch in the hole in the trim shroud under the lock cylinder. Push the retaining pin in while pulling on the lock cylinder to remove it from the column. Installation Instructions
- Install lock cylinder by rotating the new lock to the run position and pressing down on the retaining pin. The image shows the new lock cylinder with an arrow pointing to the retaining pin, labeled "Press in retaining pin to install".
- Insert lock into column. Ensure that the cylinder is fully seated and aligned in the interlocking washer before turning the key to the off position. This will enable the lock retaining pin to extend into the cylinder housing.
- Rotate new lock cylinder using key to ensure proper operation in all positions.
- Reconnect battery.
