Product Overview
The Southwire® CSA FAS/LVT cable is a CSA Fire Alarm Signaling (FAS) Cable and Low Voltage Thermostat (LVT) Cable. It is available with either a Red Jacket or a Brown Jacket. The cable features unshielded construction with solid bare copper conductors.
Temperature Ratings:
- FAS: Rated -20°C to 105°C
- LVT: Rated -20°C to 60°C
The cable is designed for durability and ease of use, incorporating a ripcord under the jacket for simplified jacket stripping.
Applications
Southwire® FAS/LVT is suitable for the following installations:
- Connecting Fire Alarm Signaling devices within a fire protective signaling system.
- Low Voltage Thermostat applications in HVAC Systems.
- Where FAS 105 cable is specified (300V).
- Where LVT 60 cable is specified (30V).

Features

Construction
Southwire® FAS/LVT is manufactured with solid bare copper conductors and color-coded PVC insulation. Conductors are twisted unless noted. A rugged, flame-retardant, flexible PVC jacket is extruded over the cable core. A ripcord is included under the jacket for jobsite jacket strip-back. Colors and packaging indicated in the tables are the most popular, and others may be available.

Additional Considerations
- Store indoors, in a dry, climate-controlled location maintained above 0°C.
- If stored below 0°C, bring to above 0°C for 24 hours prior to working cables.
- Maintain project conditions above 0°C and normal humidity during installation.
- Never apply paint over cable. Field application of paint on cable invalidates the material's flame retardant properties, flame test listings, and any smoke-generation listings inherent in the material.
