About This Release
This document details the NVIDIA Jetson Linux 35.1 General Availability (GA) release. It includes the Linux Kernel 5.10, UEFI-based Bootloader, Ubuntu 20.04 root file system, NVIDIA drivers, necessary firmwares, and toolchain. This release supports development with NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB module, Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit, Jetson Xavier NX, and Jetson AGX Xavier developer kits and modules. This GA release is suitable for production purposes.
Key features and updates in this release include:
- Support for Jetson AGX Orin 32 GB production module.
- Emulation capabilities for Jetson AGX Orin Developer Kit to match performance of Jetson AGX Orin 64GB, Jetson Orin NX 16GB, and Jetson Orin NX 8GB modules.
- Security enhancements including Secure Boot and Disk Encryption.
- Over-the-Air (OTA) updates with A/B Bootloader and A/B Rootfs.
- Updated bootloader with UEFI support for USB, NVMe, and 4K Display.
- Power management improvements including Low Power SC7 state and Power Estimator support.
- Display enhancements with Display Configuration Blob (DCB) tool, HDMI 4K and Audio support, and DisplayPort Multi Stream Transport (MTS).
- Kernel updates with Real Time Kernel Patches.
- Sensor Processing Engine (SPE) firmware sources and support for I2C and Inter VM Communication (IVC).
- Multimedia advancements including AV1 encoding/decoding, improved nvJPEG performance, Pre-Processing Enhancements (PPE) module, and new NVUtils Multimedia buffer management API.
- Camera support with Argus for YUV444 and Linear RGB888 output, HDR Support for Jetson AGX Orin, Digital Overlap (DOL) Mode, Piecewise Linear (PWL), and Error Resiliency.
- Graphics support for Vulkan® 1.3 and Vulkan® SC 1.0, along with OpenWF™™ Display 1.0.
- Generic Buffer Management (GBM) APIs are now fully supported.
- Jetson Linux Sources are available on Git.
