Product Description

The GH-618 is a new universal A/C remote control from HECAPO, featuring a patented code setting system that allows direct input of numeric codes for quick and efficient setup. It includes features such as an accurate clock, timer on/off, room temperature display, Celsius/Fahrenheit conversion, Sleep function, code memory, and unique "intelligent cooling" and "intelligent heating" modes. This guide provides instructions for its use.

To use the remote control, first install two AAA (VM-4, R03) batteries, ensuring correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment. The side cover of the remote control can be pulled down for battery access.

Patent Code Set Up

This method allows direct input of codes for your air conditioner brand.

1. Consult the code table to find the codes for your air conditioner brand. Try the first group of codes listed for your brand. If it does not operate your equipment, proceed to the next group. For example, for the ALPIN brand, try code 0252 first; if unsuccessful, try code 0253.
2. Press the [SEL] key. The code on the LCD will flash. Enter the 4-digit code using the numeric keys (0-9). For example, to enter "0252": press "0" (the first digit stops flashing), then press "2" (the second digit stops flashing), then press "5" (the third digit stops flashing), and finally press "2" (the last digit stops flashing). Once all four digits are entered, the code "0252" will stop flashing, indicating code entry is complete. The remote control will confirm the code automatically, and you can now use the numeric keys normally to control your air conditioner.
3. Turn on your air conditioner and test other function keys. If they do not work correctly, repeat the code entry process with the next available code group. The remote control contains 6000 codes; codes larger than 5999 are invalid.

Auto-Search Code Setting

Use this method if your air conditioner brand is not listed in the code table or if you don't know the brand.

1. Point the remote control at your air conditioner. Press and hold the [SEL] key for 5 seconds, then release. The remote control will enter auto-search mode, continuously emitting signals, and the code on the display will flash and increment. When your air conditioner receives a valid signal, it will emit a buzzer sound. Press any key on the remote to confirm the code.
2. Test other function keys. If they do not work, repeat the auto-search process until a correct code is found.

Using "Intelligent Cooling" and "Intelligent Heating"

These modes provide automatic comfort settings.

• In summer, press the [Cooling] symbol key to immediately start cooling the room.
• In winter, press the [Heating] symbol key to immediately start heating the room.

In both modes, the air conditioner will automatically adjust to provide a comfortable temperature, with fan speed and swing functions operating automatically. You can further adjust the temperature using the [Temp+] and [Temp-] keys. These intelligent features are particularly beneficial for children and the elderly.

Timer On

Set the air conditioner to turn on automatically.

1. Press the [Timer On] symbol key. The time on the LCD will flash.
2. Use the [+/-] keys to adjust the desired turn-on time.
3. The time on the LCD will stop flashing after 15 seconds, indicating the setting is complete.

Note: The Timer On function can only be set when the air conditioner is powered off.

Timer Off

Set the air conditioner to turn off automatically.

1. Press the [Timer Off] symbol key. The time on the LCD will flash.
2. Use the [+/-] keys to adjust the desired turn-off time.
3. The time on the LCD will stop flashing after 15 seconds, indicating the setting is complete.

Note: The Timer Off function can only be set when the air conditioner is powered on.

NOTE:

• Pressing the [Timer On] or [Timer Off] key twice will cancel the timer setting.
• After setting the timer, ensure the remote control is aimed at the unit and within range for the setting to take effect.

Conversions between Celsius and Fahrenheit Degree

Press the [C/F] key to toggle the temperature display between Fahrenheit and Celsius.

Attention

• If the remote control is not used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. If the LCD appears dim, replace the batteries. Do not mix new and old batteries. After replacing batteries, it is not necessary to re-enter the model code.
• Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote control and the air conditioner for effective operation.
