Controls and Indicators

The rear panel features the following controls and indicators:

1. Power LED Indicator: ? Located near the top of the rear panel, this LED indicates when the unit is powered on. The power switch is at the bottom of the rear panel.
2. Mode Switch: ?️ Selects EQ and tone settings.
   • Punch Mode: Processes sound for a punchier character, emphasizing upper bass over deep bass.
   • Smooth Mode: Maintains the original signal character without preference for deep or upper bass.
   • Deep Mode: Processes the signal for a deeper sound, boosting deep bass while keeping upper bass similar to Smooth Mode.
3. Sub Level Control: Independently adjusts the audio output level of the subwoofer.
4. Activity LED: Illuminates when an audio signal is detected and sent to the Master.
5. Input: Left/Right inputs for connecting audio sources.
6. Link: Left/Right Link outputs for sending the signal to other devices or subwoofers.

STEREO P.A., with EXTERNAL MIXER:

This setup shows how to connect the YXL Series subwoofers in a stereo configuration using an external mixer. The mixer's Left and Right outputs connect to the Input jacks of each subwoofer. The Link outputs of the subwoofers are then used to connect to the Main In jacks of the other subwoofer, establishing a stereo link between them.

STEREO P.A., Single SUB with EXTERNAL MIXER:

This diagram illustrates a stereo setup where a single YXL Series subwoofer is used. The mixer's Left and Right outputs connect to the Input jacks of the subwoofer. The subwoofer's Output jacks are then used to send the signal to the main PA speakers (not depicted). The Link outputs can be utilized for daisy-chaining additional subwoofers or sending the signal to other audio equipment.

Block Diagram

The block diagram illustrates the internal signal processing and component connections:

• Audio signals enter through Left/Right Inputs.
• An Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) converts the analog input to digital.
• The Digital Signal Processor (DSP) handles audio processing, including mode selection (Punch, Smooth, Deep), level control, and limiting.
• A Microcontroller manages the DSP functions and overall operation.
• A Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) converts the processed digital signal back to analog.
• The analog signal is sent to the Subwoofer Amplifier (SUB AMP).
• The amplifier drives the Low-Frequency (LF) Driver.
• An Activity LED indicates when a signal is present.
• The Sub Level control adjusts the overall output volume.

Yorkville offers a Two & Ten Year Warranty on this product:

• Unlimited Warranty: This warranty is transferable and does not require registration.
• Coverage: Two years on the product, ten years on the wooden enclosure, from the original purchase date.
• Service: Return the product to your Yorkville dealer with proof of purchase for free repair.
• Exclusions: The warranty does not cover freight charges, consequential damages, weather damage, damage from improper installation, exposure to extreme humidity, accidents, natural disasters, or consumables like vacuum tubes or PAR bulbs.
• Validity: Warranty is valid only in Canada and the United States.
