1. Package Contents
- 1x Tablet: Displays test results.
- 1x VCI Connector: A device for accessing live vehicle data.
- 1x Diagnostic Cable: Connect the VCI connector to the vehicle's OBD II diagnostic socket. It can be split into two parts: HBD15F-HD15F data cable and HD15M-OBD II adapter.
- 1x DOIP Cable: Connect the diagnostic cable when diagnosing a vehicle using the DOIP protocol.
- 1x Power Adapter + 2x Connector Adapter: Powers the tablet via the mains socket.
- 1x Password Envelope: A paper containing the product serial number and activation code for product registration.
- 1x Type-A Type-C USB Cable: Connect the diagnostic device to the mains socket, or to a computer for charging/data transfer. Connect the VCI connector to the device for diagnostics.
- 1x BMW-20 Adapter: Special adapter for BMW vehicles.
- 1x BENZ-38 Adapter: Special adapter for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
- 1x Product Description: Product description.
The package includes a tablet, VCI connector, various diagnostic cables and adapters (Diagnostic Cable, DOIP Cable, Type-A Type-C USB Cable, BMW-20 Adapter, BENZ-38 Adapter), a power adapter with connector adapters, a password envelope containing registration details, and a product description document.
2. Tablet Description
The tablet functions as the central processing system, receiving and analyzing live vehicle data from the VCI device, and then outputting test results.
Device Layout: The tablet features a rectangular screen with various ports and controls:
- 1. Microphone: For audio input.
- 2. Type-A USB Port: Used for connecting the VCI connector for diagnostics or an external USB storage device for data exchange. It can also connect to accessory modules.
- 3. Type-C USB Port: Used for charging the tablet via a mains socket or for data exchange with a computer.
- 4. Front Camera: For capturing images or video.
- 5. Power Button:
- To Power On: In standby mode, press and hold for 3 seconds.
- To Wake/Sleep LCD: In active mode, press once to turn the LCD on or off.
- To Shut Down: In active mode, press and hold for 3 seconds.
- To Force Shutdown: In active mode, press and hold for 8 seconds.
- 6. LCD Display: Shows test results and system information.
- 7. Speakers: For audio output.
- 8. Rear Camera: For capturing images or video.
- 9. Adjustable Stand: Fold out to any angle for comfortable use on a desk, or hang it on the steering wheel.
3. VCI Connector
The VCI connector acts as the vehicle's communication interface. It connects to the vehicle's DLC (Data Link Connector) socket via the diagnostic cable to read vehicle data and send it to the tablet. This functionality is applicable to 12V passenger cars.
Note: Remember to remove the VCI connector from the vehicle's DLC after use.
VCI Connector Indicators: The VCI connector has several indicators:
- 1. Diagnostic Connector: Connects to the vehicle's OBD II DLC via the diagnostic cable.
- 2. USB Port: Connects the VCI to the tablet via a USB cable for vehicle diagnostics.
- 3. I/O Indicator:
- Lights blue when the VCI communicates wirelessly with the tablet.
- Lights red when the VCI connects to the tablet via USB cable.
- 4. Vehicle Indicator: Lights green and flashes when the VCI communicates with the vehicle.
- 5. Power Indicator: Lights solid red while the VCI is powered on.
4. First Use
4.1 Charging and Power On
- Use the included power adapter to charge the tablet.
- After charging is complete, press the POWER button to turn on the tablet. The system will begin initialization and then enter the home screen.
Note: If the battery is not used for a long time, or if it is completely depleted, it is normal for the tool not to turn on during charging. Please charge for 5 minutes, then try to turn it on.
Warning: Please use the included power adapter to charge the tool. Bárdi Autó Zrt is not responsible for any damage or loss resulting from the use of power adapters other than the one provided.
Press the POWER button for 3 seconds to display an options menu on the screen. Tap the Shut Down/Restart button to shut down or restart the device.
5. First Steps
New users must complete the device activation and user login processes before use.
To activate the device, send the device serial number or a photo of the data plate to Bárdi Autó's garage industry department via email at garazs@bardiauto.hu. You will receive a confirmation email upon successful activation. After this, you can begin registration.
5.1 Registration and Update
Follow the steps below for login and update:
Tap the application icon to open it. In the top right corner of the Work (Job) menu, tap the Login button. This will display the login window.
(If you are a new user, follow section A. to continue.)
(If you are already registered, go to section B. to log in directly to the system.)
(If you have forgotten your password, read section C. for instructions on resetting your password.)
A.) New User Registration
If you are a new user, tap the New Registration button to open the registration page.
Fill in all required fields (marked with *). After entering the information, tap the Register button. The following screen will appear:
Enter the 12-digit product serial number and the 8-digit activation code (available in the password envelope), then tap the Activate button.
Tap the OK button to navigate to the update center to update all available software. Detailed operations can be found in Chapter 8.
After successful registration, wireless communication will be automatically established between the tablet and the VCI device, and the user will not need to reconfigure it.
B.) Existing User Login
As a registered member, enter your username and password, then tap the Login button to go directly to the main menu screen.
Note: The tablet has an automatic save function. After correctly entering the username and password, the system will store them automatically. The next time you log in, you will not need to manually enter your account details.
C.) Password Retrieval
If you have forgotten your password, press the Retrieve password option, then follow the on-screen instructions to set a new password.
