Essential Information
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) with Easy-Fill Tire Alert (if so equipped)
A 'CHECK TIRE PRES' warning message and low tire pressure warning light [2] illuminate when tire pressure is low. Check tire pressures when tires are cold (parked for 3+ hours or driven < 1 mi / 1.6 km at moderate speeds).
After adjusting pressure, drive above 16 mph (25 km/h) for the warning to extinguish.
Easy-Fill Tire Alert provides visual and audible signals to inflate tires to the recommended COLD pressure. Procedure:
- Move shift lever to P (PARK), apply parking brake.
- Place ignition in ON position (do not start engine).
- Add air to tire; hazard lights flash within seconds.
- When pressure is reached, horn beeps once, hazard lights stop flashing.
- Repeat for other tires.
If the low tire pressure warning light [2] flashes for 1 minute and remains on, the TPMS is malfunctioning; have it checked by a Nissan dealer.
Tire pressure varies with heat and outside temperature. Low temperatures can reduce pressure, potentially illuminating the warning light [2]. Check tire pressures regularly, especially before long trips.
Loose Fuel Cap
A 'LOOSE FUEL CAP' warning message appears in the vehicle information display [1] if the fuel-filler cap is not tightened correctly. Tighten clockwise until a click is heard. The message extinguishes when the cap is properly tightened and the button [2] on the steering wheel is pressed. An improperly tightened cap may also illuminate the Malfunction Indicator Light.
