Introduction to the Soundcore App
Enhance your audio experience with the Soundcore app. It provides access to features such as environmental sound settings, EQ adjustments, Dolby Audio, HearID personalized sound, and firmware updates. If your earbuds do not connect to the app, try reinstalling it or updating to the latest version from your app store.
General Information & Fit
The Soundcore Liberty 5 earbuds come with various ear tip sizes for a secure and comfortable fit. Proper insertion into the ear canal is key for optimal sound and noise cancellation. Utilize the 'Fit Test' feature within the Soundcore app to ensure the best seal and performance.
Regular cleaning of the earbuds, especially the metal mesh filters, is recommended to maintain sound quality. Use a slightly alcohol-dampened cotton swab for cleaning.
Powering On & Pairing
The earbuds automatically power on when removed from the charging case and enter Bluetooth pairing mode. For Android users with version 6.0 or higher, Google Fast Pair allows for quick connection. Alternatively, select 'soundcore Liberty 5' from your device's Bluetooth list to pair manually.
Charging
Place the earbuds into the charging case to charge them. The case itself can be charged using the provided USB-C cable or via wireless charging. A 10-minute charge provides up to 5 hours of listening time. Full charging via cable takes approximately 3 hours, and 4 hours wirelessly.
Dual Connections
The earbuds support dual connections, allowing you to connect to two devices simultaneously. To pair with a second device, press and hold the touch control area on both earbuds for 3 seconds until a pairing prompt is heard. This feature can also be enabled and managed through the Soundcore app's settings.
Controls & Features
Control music playback, calls, and sound modes with intuitive touch controls on the earbud stems. These controls can be customized within the Soundcore app for a personalized user experience.
Dolby Audio & Sound Modes
Experience immersive sound with Dolby Audio, offering three distinct modes via the app: Music Mode for rich, detailed audio; Podcast Mode for clear vocals; and Cinema Mode for an enhanced cinematic experience. Note that Dolby, Dolby Audio, and the double-D symbol are trademarks of Dolby Laboratories.
Ambient Sound & Noise Cancellation
Manage your listening environment with Ambient Sound modes. Choose from Noise Cancellation (with adjustable levels and specific modes like 'Airplane' and 'Anti-Bump' for travel) or Transparency Mode to hear your surroundings clearly.
LDAC High-Quality Audio
For compatible Android devices (8.0+), LDAC technology offers high-resolution audio streaming. This feature may increase power consumption and potentially affect connection stability in certain environments. Ensure your firmware is up-to-date for optimal LDAC performance.
Remote Camera Control
Use your earbuds as a remote shutter for your phone's camera. Once connected via Bluetooth and enabled in the Soundcore app, a single tap on either earbud stem can take a photo. Note that this functionality may vary depending on your phone's system settings.
Quick Mute & Power Off
During calls, quickly mute or unmute your microphone with a single tap on the earbud stem. The earbuds will automatically power off when placed in the charging case or after 30 minutes of inactivity without a connection, with the inactivity timer adjustable in the app.
Resetting & Firmware Updates
To reset the earbuds, place them in the charging case, leave the lid open, and press and hold the case button for 10 seconds until the LED strip flashes white three times. Firmware updates are delivered through the Soundcore app, ensuring your earbuds have the latest features and performance improvements.
