Conditions of Use
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
- Farm Houses
- By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
- Bed and breakfast type environments.
Warranty Information
This document sets out the terms and conditions of the product warranties for Electrolux Appliances. It is an important document. Please keep it with your proof of purchase documents in a safe place for future reference should you require service for your Appliance.
Definitions
- 'acceptable quality': as referred to in clause 10, has the same meaning as in the ACL.
- 'ACL': means the Australian Consumer Law (Trade Practices Amendment (Australian Consumer Law) Act (No.2) 2010).
- 'Appliance': means any Electrolux product purchased by you accompanied by this document.
- 'ASC': means Electrolux' authorised service centres.
- 'Electrolux': means Electrolux Home Products Pty Ltd (ABN 51 004 762 341) for Appliances purchased in Australia, and Electrolux (NZ) Limited for Appliances purchased in New Zealand.
- 'major failure': as referred to in clause 10, has the same meaning as in the ACL and includes situations where an Appliance cannot be repaired or it is uneconomic for Electrolux to repair it during the Warranty Period.
- 'Warranty Period':
- For personal, domestic or household use (normal single family use): 24 months in Australia and 24 months in New Zealand from the date of original purchase.
- For commercial purposes (including assisting a business or use in a multi-family communal or shared environment): 3 months in Australia and 3 months in New Zealand from the date of original purchase.
- 'you': means the purchaser of the Appliance not having purchased it for re-sale, and 'your' has a corresponding meaning.
Warranty Application and Coverage
- This warranty applies only to Appliances purchased and used in Australia or New Zealand.
- It is in addition to, and does not exclude, restrict, or modify, any non-excludable statutory warranties in Australia or New Zealand.
- During the Warranty Period, Electrolux or its ASC will, at no extra charge, repair or replace defective parts if the Appliance is readily accessible for service without special equipment.
- Electrolux or its ASC may use remanufactured parts. Replaced parts or Appliances become Electrolux property.
- This warranty does not cover light globes, batteries, filters, or similar perishable parts.
- Parts and Appliances not supplied by Electrolux are not covered.
Owner's Responsibilities and Costs
- You will bear the cost of transportation, travel, and delivery of the Appliance to and from Electrolux or its ASC.
- If you reside outside a service area, you will bear the cost of an authorised representative's travel and transportation of the Appliance.
- The Appliance is transported at the owner's cost and risk while in transit to and from Electrolux or its ASC, unless transported by Electrolux or an authorised representative.
Claims and Exclusions
- Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims.
- Claims are valid only if the defect is due to faulty or defective parts or workmanship.
- Electrolux is not liable if the Appliance is damaged by: accident, misuse or abuse (including failure to properly maintain or service), normal wear and tear, power surges, electrical storm damage, incorrect power supply, incomplete or improper installation, incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation, insect or vermin infestation, or failure to comply with additional instructions.
- The warranty is void if the Appliance is modified without Electrolux's written authority, the serial number or warranty seal has been removed or defaced, or the Appliance was serviced or repaired by anyone other than Electrolux or an authorised repairer/ASC.
Governing Law and Consumer Rights
- This warranty and the relationship between you and Electrolux are governed by the law applicable where the Appliance was purchased.
- In New Zealand, the Consumer Guarantee Act does not apply if the Appliance was purchased for business purposes.
- For Appliances and services in Australia, products come with a guarantee that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to repair or replacement if the Appliance fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not major.
- Benefits provided by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies under law.
- Electrolux will determine, at its discretion, whether repair, replacement, or refund applies for a valid warranty claim.
- For Appliances and services in New Zealand, products are guaranteed under the Consumer Guarantees Act, the Sale of Goods Act, and the Fair Trading Act.

- Check operating instructions, user manual, and warranty terms.
- Have the model and serial number of the Appliance available.
- Have proof of purchase (e.g., an invoice) available.
