Names and Functions of Each Part
Control Panel
Diagram Description: The control panel features various knobs, buttons, and an LED display arranged across the top surface of the amplifier. Key controls include Power, LED Display, TAP/TUNER, TONE SELECT, TONE BLEND, EQ (BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE), EFFECTS, REVERB, VOLUME, MIC/INST controls, USER MEMORY buttons, and a Bluetooth button.
- [1] Power Button / Power Button LED: Turns the unit on and off. The LED illuminates when the power is on. It also indicates the selected tone and speaker cabinet/amp lamp status.
- [2] LED Display: Shows various settings and status information for the THR30IIA Wireless.
- [3] TAP/TUNER Button:
- Tuner Function: Press and hold for 1 second to activate the tuner. The tuner displays pitch relative to A4=440Hz. Aim for the center '○' indicator for correct tuning. Press the button again briefly to exit the tuner. The guitar signal is muted while the tuner is active. Audio from AUX, USB, and Bluetooth is still output to the speakers/headphones.
- Tap Tempo Function: When CHORUS/DELAY or DELAY effects are selected via the EFFECT knob [10], this button can be used to set the delay time by tapping.
- Extended Stereo Setting: Press and hold the [TAP/TUNER] button for 5 seconds to toggle the Extended Stereo function on or off. This function enhances the stereo image. It affects audio from the AUX, USB, and Bluetooth inputs, as well as the guitar's reverb. The setting is retained even after the unit is powered off. (Extended Stereo ON: '#' indicator on LED display [2] is off. Extended Stereo OFF: '#' indicator is on.)
- [4] TONE SELECT Knob: Selects the tone. The lamp for the selected tone illuminates. The amplifier defaults to the last selected tone upon power-on. The TONE BLEND knob [6] acts as a gain control when FLAT is selected.
- TONE List:
- FLAT: Outputs the input signal directly.
- NYLON STR: Ideal for classic or electric nylon guitar.
- TUBE: Simulates a vacuum tube microphone for acoustic guitar, producing a rich midrange sound.
- DYNAMIC: Simulates a dynamic microphone for acoustic guitar, producing a tight, focused sound with a strong core.
- CONDENSER: Simulates a condenser microphone for acoustic guitar, producing a natural and clear sound.
- [5] STEREO IMAGER Switch: Selects the stereo imaging mode to adjust the perceived width of the guitar sound, helping vocals stand out. This function affects only the guitar signal from the [GUITAR] jack [15].
- NORMAL: Guitar and vocal sounds are centered.
- WIDE: Widens the guitar sound to the left and right.
- WIDER: Further widens the guitar sound.
Diagram Description: Visual representation of sound sources positioned in the stereo field for NORMAL, WIDE, and WIDER settings.
- [6] TONE BLEND Knob: Blends the sound of a microphone modeling an acoustic guitar with the guitar's pickup sound. At maximum, it's all mic modeling; at minimum, it's all pickup sound. When the [TONE SELECT] knob [4] is set to FLAT, this knob functions as a gain control, increasing the signal level before the EQ as it's turned clockwise.
- [7] BASS Knob: Adjusts the low frequencies of the guitar's tone. Turning clockwise increases bass.
- [8] MIDDLE Knob: Adjusts the mid frequencies of the guitar's tone. Turning clockwise increases midrange.
- [9] TREBLE Knob: Adjusts the high frequencies of the guitar's tone. Turning clockwise increases treble.
- [10] EFFECT Knob: Selects and adjusts the depth of effects (CHORUS, CHORUS/DELAY, DELAY). Depth increases clockwise. Turning fully counter-clockwise turns the effect off.
- [11] REVERB Knob: Selects reverb type (SHORT, LONG) and adjusts depth. Depth increases clockwise. Turning fully counter-clockwise turns the effect off.
- [12] VOLUME Knob: Adjusts the overall output volume for the guitar.
- [13] MIC/INST REVERB Knob: Adjusts the reverb level for signals connected to the [MIC/INST] jack [18].
- [14] MIC/INST VOLUME Knob: Adjusts the volume for signals connected to the [MIC/INST] jack [18].
