Operation

Ignition Burners:

  1. Check that the gas supply is accessible and properly connected.
  2. Turn all control knobs to the off position.
  3. The device has a safety tap for gas flow control. The dot on the knob aligns with symbols on the panel to indicate conditions.
  4. To turn off the gas, rotate the knob anticlockwise until a click is felt and the indicator points to "0".
  5. To ignite, hold and depress the knob, then rotate anticlockwise to the maximum gas flow position. For models with a thermocouple, keep the knob depressed for 5-8 seconds, otherwise the flame will extinguish.
  6. If the burner does not light on the first attempt, repeat Step 4.
  7. If the flame extinguishes suddenly, repeat Step 4.
  8. When using the unit again immediately after turning it off, wait about ten seconds before re-igniting.
  9. Each burner has its own independent ignitor.
  10. When the burner is lit, turn the knob to adjust the flame size as needed without depressing it.
  11. For burners with a flame supervision device, if the burner does not light after 15 seconds of operation, stop the device, wait at least 1 minute, and then attempt ignition again.

Choosing a Burner:

Note: A wide-bottomed pan allows faster cooking than a narrow one.
