LITHIUM-ION BATTERY WARNING

This device contains a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery. The battery must be recycled or disposed of properly. Contact your local waste management office for information on battery recycling or disposal.

Use only the supplied cable to recharge the battery. Improper charging may damage the battery and the device.

Do not attempt to open the rechargeable battery or battery pack. There are no serviceable parts inside.

Keep the battery out of reach of children. If swallowed, consult a physician immediately.

Do not dispose of battery in a fire as it may explode. Battery may also explode if damaged. ?

CHARGING THE BATTERY

Charge the battery before first use. If the device is not used for a long period of time, the battery may require recharging. The ANC Indicator flashes red and green alternately when the battery is low. To prolong battery life, recharge the headphones at least once every six months.

To charge the battery:

  1. Plug the Micro-USB end of the Charging Cable into the Micro-USB Charging Port.
  2. Plug the USB end of the Charging Cable into a USB port on an active device. The Charging Indicator glows red while charging.
  3. When fully charged, the Charging Indicator light turns off. Disconnect the Charging Cable from both ports.

PAIRING WITH BLUETOOTH®

  1. Prepare your device (e.g., smartphone) to pair using Bluetooth®, making sure that the device is within 33 feet of the headphones. Refer to your device's owner's manual for information on using the Bluetooth® function.
  2. Slide the Power Switch to the ON position (down). The Bluetooth® Indicator quick flashes blue, indicating that the headphones are in pairing mode.
  3. On your device, search the list of available devices and select Noise Cancel Headphones. Note that it may take a few seconds for the headphones to be listed as an available device. Depending on your device, you may have to tap SCAN to update the device list. Consult your device's owner's manual.
  4. If prompted, type the password or PIN 0000.
  5. When the devices are successfully paired, the Bluetooth® Indicator glows solid blue.

Once paired, the devices will remain paired, even after being turned off, until you delete the connection.

To pair the headphones with another device, press and hold the Multi-Function Button (MFB) for more than 5 seconds to re-enter the search state, then repeat Steps 3 through 5 above. You can reconnect with the previous device at a later time without repeating the pairing step.

To delete all Bluetooth connections, press ANC and VOL + at the same time for more than 5 seconds. Remember to remove the Noise Cancel Headphones from the connections list on your device. To reconnect you will have to repeat the pairing step.

NOTE: You can also use your headphones without a Bluetooth® connection. See Page 8.

OPERATION

  1. Slide the Power Switch to the ON position (down).
  2. The ANC Indicator glows green, indicating that the Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) function is activated. To turn off ANC, press the ANC Button.
  3. Position the headphones on your head. Note that the headphones are marked with R and L, indicating the right and left ears. Position accordingly.
  4. Adjust the headband for a comfortable fit. Ensure that the headphones properly cover your ears to achieve the best noise reduction.

To play music:

Function Button
Play/pause music Press the MFB.
Next song Double-click the MFB.
Replay current song Triple-click the MFB.
Volume up Press Vol +. Hold Vol + to continue to increase volume. A tone sounds when the maximum volume, as set on your device, is reached.
Volume down Press Vol -. Hold Vol- to continue to decrease volume. A tone sounds when the minimum volume is reached.

To answer calls:

Function Button
Answer a call Press the MFB when there is an incoming call.
Reject a call Press and hold the MFB.
End a call Press the MFB while in a call.

CONNECTING WITHOUT BLUETOOTH®

When a Bluetooth® connection is unavailable or your battery is low, you can connect the headphones to your device using the Audio Cable.

To use the Audio Cable:

  1. Plug one end of the Audio Cable into the Audio Jack in the headphones. The Bluetooth® Indicator automatically turns off.
  2. Plug the other end of the Audio Cable into a 3.5 mm audio jack in your device (e.g., smartphone or other device).
  3. Enjoy your music.

NOTE: The MFB and Volume buttons require Bluetooth® and are not functional when using the Audio Cable.

You can use the Audio Cable with the power switched off or on. The music quality will be enhanced with the power switched on because you can use the ANC feature to reduce background noise.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the headphones with a soft cloth or damp chamois leather. Never use solvents or harsh cleaning products.

Do not submerge in water or other liquids.

Store in a cool, dry location.

ONE (1) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Brookstone® warrants this product against defects in materials and/or workmanship under normal use for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase by the original purchaser (“Warranty Period”). If a defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, at its option, Brookstone will either 1) repair the defect at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts, or 2) replace the product with a new product that is at least functionally equivalent to the original product, or 3) provide a store credit in the amount of the purchase price of the original product. A replacement product or part, including a user-installable part installed in accordance with instructions provided by Brookstone, assumes the remaining warranty of the original product. When a product or part is exchanged, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced item becomes Brookstone's property. When a store credit is given, the original product must be returned to Brookstone and becomes Brookstone's property.

Obtaining Service: To obtain warranty service, call Brookstone Limited Warranty Service at 1-800-292-9819. Please be prepared to describe the product that needs service and the nature of the problem. A purchase receipt is required. All repairs and replacements must be authorized in advance. Service options, parts availability and response times will vary. You are responsible for delivery and the cost of delivery of the product or any parts to the authorized service center for replacement, per our instructions.

Limits and Exclusions: Coverage under this Limited Warranty is limited to the United States of America, including the District of Columbia and the U.S. Territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This Limited Warranty applies only to products manufactured for Brookstone that can be identified by the “Brookstone” trademark, trade name, or logo affixed to them or their packaging. The Limited Warranty does not apply to any non-Brookstone products. Manufacturers or suppliers other than Brookstone may provide their own warranties to the purchaser, but Brookstone, in so far as permitted by law, provides these products “as is”. This warranty does not apply to: a) damage caused by failure to follow instructions relating to product's use or the installation of components; b) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, fire, floods, earthquake or other external causes; c) damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of Brookstone; d) accessories used in conjunction with a covered product; e) a product or part that has been modified to alter functionality or capability; f) items intended to be periodically replaced by the purchaser during the normal life of the product including, without limitation, batteries or lightbulbs; g) any product sold “as is” including, without limitation, floor demonstration models and refurbished items; or h) a product that is used commercially or for a commercial purpose.

Brookstone shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of this product, or arising out of any breach of this warranty. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Brookstone disclaims any and all statutory or implied warranties, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and warranties against hidden or latent defects. If Brookstone cannot lawfully disclaim statutory or implied warranties, then to the extent permitted by law, all such warranties shall be limited in duration to the duration of this express warranty.

Some states disallow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above exclusions or limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
