1. Important Safety Instructions
DANGER: TO REDUCE RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRICAL SHOCK CAREFULLY OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
- Confirm the voltage available at each country location before using the charger.
- If the plug does not fit the power outlet, use an appropriate adapter.
- DO NOT probe the charger with conductive materials.
- DO NOT allow liquid inside the charger.
- DO NOT use the charger for any purpose other than what is presented in this manual.
- Unplug the charger before cleaning and when no battery pack is in the charger.
- Do not try to connect two chargers together.
- Do not use the charger if the output polarity does not match the load polarity.
- For indoor use only.
- The cover must not be opened. If damaged, the charger may no longer be used.
- Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
WARNING: To avoid risk of fire, electrical shock, or electrocution:
- Do not use a damp cloth or detergent on the battery or battery charger.
- Always remove the battery pack before cleaning, inspecting, or performing any maintenance.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits (FCC Rules Part 15). These limits provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. The equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used per instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio or TV reception. Corrective measures include reorienting antennas, increasing separation, or connecting to a different circuit. Consult a dealer or technician for help.
2. Special Rules for Charger
This device complies with FCC Rules Part 15. Operation is subject to two conditions: it may not cause harmful interference, and it must accept any interference received.
CAUTION: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
3. Proposition 65
WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Dust from construction activities may contain these chemicals (e.g., lead from paints, crystalline silica from masonry, arsenic and chromium from treated lumber). Reduce exposure by working in well-ventilated areas and using approved safety equipment like dust masks.

5. Recycle
Do not discard this product with household waste. Make it available for separate collection. Recycling used machines and packaging helps conserve resources and prevent pollution. Dispose of batteries responsibly, as they contain hazardous materials. Remove and discard them separately at facilities that accept lithium-ion batteries.
6. Operation
6.1 Charge Procedure
NOTE: Fully charge the battery pack before first use for maximum run time. The battery pack has no memory and can be charged at any time.
- Connect the charger plug (2) to an AC power outlet.
- Place the battery pack (1) into the charger (2).
The charger is diagnostic. The LED Light (3) indicates battery status:

WARNING: If the battery pack is put into the charger in a warm or hot environment, the charger LED will be red. Remove the battery pack and let it cool for approximately 30 minutes.
6.2 Examine the Charger
If the battery pack does not charge correctly:
- Examine the power outlet with different machines to ensure it works.
- Check that the charger contacts are not short-circuited.
- If the charger is not at usual room temperature, move it and the battery pack to a location where the temperature is between 6°C and 40°C (43°F - 104°F).
Incorrect Defect Indication Note:
- Place the battery pack in the charger.
- If the status LED blinks RED, remove the battery pack for 1 minute.
- Place the battery pack in the charger again.
- If status LEDs show correctly, the battery pack is good.
- If the status LED continues to blink RED, remove the battery pack and disconnect the charger.
- Wait 1 minute and place the battery pack in the charger again.
- If status LEDs show correctly, the battery pack is good.
- If the status LED continues to blink RED, the battery pack is defective and needs replacement.
6.3 Mount the Charger
To mount the charger:
- Locate the wall position for the charger.
- Use 2 wood screws to attach the charger to wood studs.
- For charger CAG801/2903102/29862: Drill two parallel holes 5" (127 mm) on center.
- For charger CAG812/CAG817: Drill two parallel holes 4.4" (112 mm) on center.
- Use wall anchors and screws to attach the charger to drywall.

NOTE: If not using the battery pack and charger for an extended period, remove the battery from the charger and unplug the AC power.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Clean the Machine
NOTE: Keep air vents clear of blockage, sawdust, and wood dust. Do not spray, wash, or submerge the air vent in water.
- Clear unwanted material from air vents using a vacuum cleaner.
- Clean the housing and plastic components with a dry, soft cloth.
IMPORTANT: Do not use strong solvents or detergents on the plastic housing or components.
7.2 Stow the Machine
Remove the battery pack before storing the charger or disconnecting it.
8. Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

Charger doesn't work. Charger shows defective mode (LED flashes Red). | Battery pack or charger is defective, or there is a bad connection between the battery pack and charger. | Try removing and reinserting the battery pack. 10. Limited Warranty
Greenworks warrants this product to the original purchaser for three (3) years against defects in materials, parts, or workmanship. Greenworks will repair or replace defective parts free of charge under normal use. This warranty is valid for personal use only, not for hired or commercial use, and requires maintenance according to the owner's manual.
Items Not Covered by Warranty:
- Parts inoperative due to misuse, commercial use, abuse, neglect, accident, improper maintenance, or alteration.
- Unit not operated or maintained according to the owner's manual.
- Normal wear, except as noted.
- Routine maintenance items (lubricants, blade sharpening).
- Normal deterioration of exterior finish due to use or exposure.
