Important Safety Instructions
To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, carefully obey these instructions.
[Warning] Do not cover ventilation slots on the charger. Do not set the charger on a soft surface like a blanket or pillow. Keep ventilation slots clear.
Confirm voltage availability in each country before using the charger.
If the plug shape does not fit the power outlet, use an appropriate plug adaptor.
[Warning] Do not allow liquid inside the charger.
[Warning] Do not use the charger for purposes other than those specified in this manual.
Unplug the charger and remove the battery pack before cleaning.
[Warning] Do not try to connect two chargers together.
[Warning] Do not use the charger if the output polarity does not match the load polarity.
For indoor use only.
Do not place the battery pack in the sun or in a warm environment. Keep at normal room temperature between 6°C and 40°C.
Do not allow small metal items or materials such as steel wool, aluminum foil, or other foreign particles into the charger cavity.
[Warning] Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

Before using the battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the charger, battery, and product using the battery.
[Caution] To reduce risk of injury, use only LB24A020 or Greenworks 24V series approved replacement batteries. Other types of batteries may burst, causing personal injury and damage.
This appliance can be used by children 8 years of age and older, with supervision and proper instruction regarding safe use and hazards. Children should not play with the appliance, nor perform cleaning and user maintenance without supervision.
If the cord set is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord set available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
[Warning] To avoid risk of fire, electrical shock, or electrocution:
- Do not use a damp cloth or detergent on the battery or battery charger.
- Battery should be nowhere near a water source.
- Always remove the battery pack before cleaning, inspecting, or performing any maintenance on the tool.
Special Rules for Charger
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- The appliance shall not emit harmful radiation or present a toxic or similar hazard during normal use.
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

The reception can be determined by turning the equipment off and on. The user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

Your risk of exposure varies depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce exposure, work in a well-ventilated area and use approved safety equipment, such as dust masks designed to filter microscopic particles.

Operation
Charge Procedure
[Note] Before use, charge the battery pack fully to ensure maximum run time. This battery pack has no memory; you can charge it anytime.
- Connect the charger plug (2) to an AC power outlet.
- Put the battery pack (1) into the charger (2).
This is a diagnostic charger. The Charger LED Light (3) illuminates in a specified order to show the current battery status:
- BATTERY IS CHARGING: GREEN BLINKING
- FULLY CHARGED: GREEN
- BATTERY IS TOO WARM: RED (Remove for approx. 30 minutes to allow to cool)
- DEFECTIVE BATTERY: RED BLINKING (Remove and replace with a new battery)
Visual Description of Charging Process: The process involves inserting battery pack (1) into the charger (2). The charger's LED light (3) indicates the status.
Examine the Charger
If the battery pack does not charge correctly:
- Examine the current of the power outlet with different machines. Make sure that the outlet works.
- Examine that the charger contacts are not short-circuited.
- If the charger is not under usual room temperature, move the charger and battery pack to a location where the temperature is between 6°C to 40°C (42.8°F to 104°F).
[Warning] If you attempt to charge the battery pack in a warm or hot environment, and the charger LED light is red, remove the battery pack and let the battery cool for approximately 30 minutes.
Mount the Charger
- Get the location of the wall to attach the charger.
- Use 2 wood screws to attach the charger on the wood studs.
- For charger CAG801/2903102/29862: Drill two parallel holes 5" (127 mm) on center. For charger CAG817/CAG812: Drill two parallel holes 4.4" (112 mm) on center.
- Use wall anchors and screws to attach the charger to the drywall.
[Note] If you do not use the battery pack and charger for a long time, please remove the battery from the charger and pull out the AC power plug.
Maintenance
Clean the Machine
[Note] Keep the air vent free of blockage, saw dust, and wood dust. Do not spray, wash, or submerge in water.
- Clear the unwanted material out of the air vent with a vacuum.
- Clean housing and plastic components with a soft, dry cloth.
[Important] Do not use strong solvents or detergents on the plastic housing or components.
Stow the Machine
- Remove the battery pack before you store the charger or disconnect the charger.
Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |

Charger doesn't work. Charger shows evaluation mode (LED indicates Red solid ON). | Battery pack is either too hot, or too cold. | Allow the battery pack to reach normal temperature. Charging will begin when the battery pack returns to 3°C-47°C (37°F-117°F). |

Limited Warranty
Greenworks warrants this product to the original purchaser with proof of purchase for a period of three (3) years against defects in materials, parts, or workmanship. Greenworks, at its discretion, will repair or replace any defective parts under normal use, free of charge. This warranty is valid only for units used for personal use, not purchased or rented for industrial/commercial use, and maintained according to the owner's manual.
Items Not Covered by Warranty:
- Parts inoperative due to misuse, commercial use, abuse, neglect, accident, improper maintenance, or alteration.
- Unit not operated or maintained according to the owner's manual.
- Normal wear.
- Routine maintenance items such as lubricants, blade sharpening.
- Normal deterioration of exterior finish due to use or exposure.

Transportation Charges:
Transportation charges for the movement of any power equipment unit or attachment are the responsibility of the purchaser.
