Important Notes:
- For connection with older Xbox One controllers, an additional Microsoft Adapter (not included) is required.
- The microphone functionality is not available on Nintendo Switch.
Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound Setup
To enable the full features of the MPOW IRON Surround Headset, including Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound, download the dedicated software from the MPOW website:
Note: The Virtual 7.1 surround sound feature is exclusively available on Windows PCs after driver installation.
PC Setup for Virtual 7.1:
1. Open your sound settings via the Control Panel.
2. Navigate to 'Sound' settings.
3. Set "USB-BH336A" as the default device for both playback and recording.
Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC)
The ENC feature helps reduce background noise for clearer communication.
- This function can be enabled after successfully installing the driver software. It is available only on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems.
- For optimal voice pickup, position the microphone approximately 30-50mm (1.18-1.97 inches) from your mouth.
Platform Setup Guides
PC Setup
Connect the headset via the USB plug to your PC. Open sound settings from Control Panel > Sound and set "USB-BH336A" as the default device for playback and recording.
Mac / Macbook Pro Setup
Connect the headset to the audio port of your Mac. Access 'System Preferences' via the Apple Menu, go to 'Sound', and set "USB-BH336A" as the default device for playback and recording.
PS4 Setup
Connect the headset to the PS4 controller's audio port using the 3.5mm audio cable.
Follow these steps on your PS4:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Devices.
- Choose Audio Devices.
- Set Input and Output devices to "Headset Connected to Controller".
- Set "Output to Headphones" to "All Audio".
Xbox Setup
Connect the headset to the Xbox controller's audio port using the 3.5mm audio cable.
Note: An additional Microsoft Adapter (not included) is required for older Xbox One controllers.
