Important Note
To prevent damage after moving, unpack the unit and let it stand upright for a minimum of 2 hours. If the unit was accidentally placed on its side, allow it to set upright for at least 24 hours before use.
Placement
Place the unit on a firm, level surface in an area with at least 20" (50cm) of free space around it to allow for proper air circulation. The electrical outlet used should be in accordance with local electric safety requirements.
Do not operate in close proximity to walls, curtains, or other objects that may block the unit's air inlet and outlet.
Keep the air inlet and outlet free of obstacles.
Conditions to Avoid for Installation
- Heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other products that produce heat.
- Direct sunlight.
- Mechanical vibration or shock.
- Excessive dust.
- Lack of ventilation, such as next to a cabinet or bookcase.
- Uneven surface.
Installation
The air conditioner requires venting outside so that exhaust air can escape the room. Do not replace or extend the exhaust hose beyond its specification, as this will decrease efficiency and may cause the unit to shut down due to low backpressure.
Step 1: Connect the hose connector to one end of the exhaust hose.
Diagram shows a hose connector being attached to one end of the exhaust hose.
Step 2: Connect the window kit adapter to the other end of the exhaust hose.
Diagram shows the window kit adapter being attached to the other end of the exhaust hose.
Step 3: Extend the adjustable window kit to the length of your window. Connect the exhaust hose to the window kit.
The window kit can be installed horizontally or vertically. The window kit can be adjusted from 23.6"-47.2" (0.6-1.2m). The exhaust hose can be adjusted from 9.4"-59" (240-1500mm).
Diagram illustrates extending the adjustable window kit to fit a window and connecting the exhaust hose to it. It shows the window kit can be installed horizontally or vertically, with adjustable ranges provided.
Step 4: Open the window and place the window kit on the inside edge of the window. Adjust the window seal plate to the width of the window. Once secure, close the window to secure it in place.
Diagram shows the window kit placed on the inside edge of an open window, with the seal plate adjusted to the window width, and the window being closed to secure it.
Note: Depending on the window frame type, for some installations, duct tape may be ideal to better seal the window kit for a tighter seal and maximum efficiency.
Step 5: Attach the hose connector to the exhaust air outlet of the unit.
Diagram shows the hose connector being attached to the exhaust air outlet of the unit.
Step 6: Adjust the length of the flexible exhaust hose. Avoid bends in the hose and ensure that the unit is near the electrical outlet.
Diagram shows the flexible exhaust hose adjusted, with emphasis on avoiding bends and ensuring the unit is near the electrical outlet.

Maintenance and Drainage
Automatic Defrost
As a safety precaution, this unit is equipped with an Automatic Defrost Feature. At low room temperatures, frost may build up on the evaporator during operation. The integrated defrost function will activate, and the POWER LED will blink. The auto defrost feature operates in cooling mode. If the ambient temperature sensor detects an evaporator coil temperature below -1°C, the compressor will stop for 10 minutes. When the coil temperature sensor detects 7°C, the unit will restart cooling.
Overload Protection
In the event of a power loss, there is a 3-minute delay before the compressor restarts to protect it.
Drainage (Dehumidifying)
This unit has a self-evaporating drainage feature. Under normal conditions, it operates without issue. In high humidity, manual draining may be necessary (indicated by an Ft error). A continuous drain option is also available, which automatically evacuates water (in dehumidifier mode).
To Drain Manually
- Turn off the unit and unplug it.
- Place a water tray under the drainage port at the bottom of the unit.
- Remove the rubber drainage plug and allow water to drain.
- Replace the plug when drainage stops.
For Continuous Drainage into a Floor Drain
To operate like a standalone dehumidifier, use the continuous drain option:
- Turn off the unit and unplug it.
- Remove the water outlet plug.
- Attach the drain hose, ensuring it is straight, knot-free, and unobstructed.
- Place the other end of the drain hose into a floor drain.
- Replace the rubber sealing plug after use to prevent leaks.
Cleaning the Air Filter
The filter should be cleaned approximately every 2 weeks to maintain proper airflow.
Important: Do not operate the unit without an air filter, as the evaporator may become contaminated.
- Press the POWER button to turn OFF the unit. Unplug from the electrical outlet.
- Remove the filter mesh from the unit.
- Use a vacuum cleaner or brush to clean the air filter.
- Rinse the filter under running water. Set the filter aside to air dry completely before reinstalling.
Image shows two air filters being removed for cleaning. Another image shows rinsing an air filter under running water.
Storage
If the unit will not be used for an extended period (more than a few weeks), it is best to clean and dry it completely. The unit must be kept upright during storage.
- Unplug the unit and store the exhaust hose and window kit with it.
- Drain any remaining water from the unit.
- Clean the filter and let it dry completely.
- Re-install the filter.
- Store the machine in a ventilated, dry, non-corrosive, and safe indoor place.
