Battery Life

Cleaning Your Timer

The timer should be cleaned periodically to prevent sediment or dirt build-up.

  1. Turn off the water faucet. Remove the timer from the faucet connection and hose connections. Inspect the filter washer at the faucet connection input for any built-up sediment.
  2. If the filter is dirty, remove the filter washer from the timer. Clean the filter washer by placing it under running water.
  3. Turn the timer upside down and activate the MANUAL mode. This will open up the valves and allow water to run into the output connectors. This helps check for clogs in the water flow. Once correct water flow is observed, deactivate the MANUAL mode.

Diagrams illustrating the cleaning process:

  • A hand unscrewing the timer from the faucet, showing the filter washer.
  • The filter washer being cleaned under running water.
  • The timer inverted with water flowing from the outlets, demonstrating clog check.

Seasonal Storage

Cold or freezing temperatures can damage the timer if still connected to the faucet. At the first forecast of frost, it is best to remove the timer from the faucet and place it indoors.
