¹ In October 2017, the Department of Energy implemented a new test procedure that accounts for different factors, resulting in a lower BTU rating for portable air conditioners. The actual cooling capacity has not changed; the difference is solely due to the revised test procedure. Internal components and functionality remain the same. Please consult room size guidelines to select the appropriate portable air conditioner. Refer to the AHAM website for further information.
