SereneLife SLPAC8 Portable Air Conditioner User Manual

This manual provides instructions for the SereneLife SLPAC8 Portable Air Conditioner, a compact home AC cooling unit with built-in dehumidifier and fan modes, including a window mount kit (8,000 BTU).

Important Safety Tips

Precautions

  • This machine is for household and indoor use only. Place in a dry environment.
  • Regularly check the power cord, plug, or A/C. Do not operate if damaged. Use an extension cable if the power cord is not long enough, ensuring it does not create a tripping hazard.
  • Keep the A/C away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  • Turn off the A/C before unplugging.
  • Turn off and unplug the A/C before cleaning, maintenance, or when not in use.
  • Clean the A/C according to the manual.
  • Ensure the A/C's voltage meets requirements. Damage from incorrect power is not covered by warranty.
  • Children are not allowed to play with the A/C. This appliance is not intended for use by children without supervision.
  • Do not insert fingers or hard objects into the air outlet louvers.
  • Do not place the A/C near water or other liquids. Prevent liquid from entering the A/C.
  • Do not attempt to repair the A/C yourself. Unauthorized maintenance voids the warranty. The supply cord must be replaced by professional maintenance personnel if damaged.
  • Use only accessories provided by the manufacturer to avoid damage.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.

Special Warning

  • Place the A/C on even ground and install it vertically for normal compressor operation.
  • Keep the A/C at least 50cm away from surrounding objects to ensure smooth air inlet and outlet.
  • Do not use the A/C near flammable liquids like gasoline.
  • Do not use spraying agents, solvents, or flammable substances near the A/C, as this may deform plastic and damage electric parts.

Power

  • The plug must be in good condition. Do not replace the plug.
  • To run the A/C, plug in the power cord first, then press the power key.
  • Keep the unit upright for 2 hours before turning it on for the first time.

Product Operation

Placement and Installation

Placement

Place the unit on an even, dry surface, at least 50cm away from surrounding objects to ensure smooth airflow.

Installation

  • Screw the exhaust duct assembly into the air outlet behind the panel counterclockwise.
  • Insert the air exhaust hose into the window sealing plate. Adjust the window opening to match the sealing plate. The sealing plate length is adjustable.

Incorrect Installation: Keeping the exhaust duct smooth is crucial for A/C performance. Avoid sharp bends in the duct to ensure smooth airflow.

Warning: The exhaust duct is designed specifically for this model. Do not replace or lengthen it, as this may cause failure.

Notice: The maximum developed length of the exhaust duct is 1,500mm. It is recommended to shorten it during use and keep it horizontal during installation.

Operation Method

Cooling Mode

  • The cooling indicator lamp lights up when the A/C enters cooling mode.
  • Adjust the setting temperature between 16°C~30°C (60°F~86°F) using the Up/Down keys.
  • Select High/Mid/Low speed using the Speed key.

Fan Mode

  • The wind indicator lamp lights up when Fan mode is selected.
  • Select High/Mid/Low speed using the Speed key.
  • Temperature cannot be set in this mode.

Dehumidification Mode

  • The dehumidification indicator lamp lights up when this mode is selected.
  • Remove the dehumidification water wedge and insert the water manifold. Place the other end into a water vessel or drainage passage.
  • In dehumidification mode, the compressor operates when room temperature is ≥17°C (62°F). It turns off if the temperature drops to ≤15°C (59°F) and restarts after 3 minutes when the temperature rises to ≥17°C (62°F).
  • The fan defaults to low speed and cannot be adjusted.
  • Temperature cannot be set in this mode.
  • Note: Remove exit pipe components when using the dehumidify function to avoid reduced performance and potential "FL" (water full) alarms.

Sleep Mode (Optional Function)

  • Activate sleep mode by pressing the Sleep key on the remote or Time key + Down key on the machine. This sets a low wind speed that cannot be adjusted.
  • Press the Sleep key again or Time key + Down key to quit sleep mode.

Timer Mode

  • In standby state, use the Timer key and Up/Down keys to set the ON time (0-24H). The timer indicator lamp lights up.
  • In ON state, use the Timer key and Up/Down keys to set the OFF time (0-24H). The timer indicator lamp lights up.

Clean and Maintenance

Drainage Method

This product features an automatic water vaporization system. The condenser is cooled by circulating condensing water to improve cooling efficiency and save energy.

If the internal vessel is full of water, the display will show "FL", and the compressor will stop automatically. After powering off, unscrew the water cover, pull out the water plug to drain, and the unit will function normally after restarting.

Maintenance

Notice: Turn off and unplug the A/C before maintenance or repair to avoid electric shock.

Cleaning

  • Unplug before cleaning.
  • Wipe with a soft, semi-dry cloth. Avoid chemical reagents like benzene, alcohol, or gasoline, as they can damage the A/C's surface.
  • Prevent water from splashing onto the A/C.

Filter Screen

  • Wash the filter screen every two weeks. Dust blockage reduces A/C efficiency.
  • Remove the air inlet grille and pull out the filter screen from both sides as shown in the figures.
  • Wash the filter screen in warm water (around 40°C or 104°F) with neutral detergent. Dry in a shady place after cleaning.

Seasonal Cleaning

If the A/C will not be used for an extended period:

  • Pull out the water plug to drain.
  • Run the A/C in fan mode for 2 hours to dry the interior.
  • Turn off and unplug the A/C.
  • Wash the filter screen and reinstall it.
  • Dismantle and store the exhaust duct properly.
  • Cover the A/C with a plastic bag and store it in a dry place.

Common Failures and Diagnosis

Intelligent Error Detection

Error-detecting codeMulti-functional detection
E1Error of the coil's temperature sensor
E2Error of indoor temperature sensor
E4Anti-freezing protection: The coil's temperature is too low, and the A/C is off. Protection is released, and the previous working state is recovered when the temperature exceeds 8°C (46.4°F).

Fuse Parameters

  • Voltage: 250VAC
  • Current: 3.15A
