TuyaSmart App User Manual: TouchKey Bluetooth Access Controller

Introduction

The TouchKey Bluetooth Access Controller allows users to easily access doors using their smartphone via the TuyaSmart Bluetooth APP. The app supports up to 100 mobile users and can manage a maximum of 255 users, including those using Fingerprint, PIN, or Card access methods.

• iOS version 7.0 and above
• Android version 4.3 and above
• Requires Bluetooth version 4.0 and above

App Operation

Follow these steps to get started with the TuyaSmart app:

1. Downloading the App

Search for "TuyaSmart" on your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) and download it.

Note: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone before proceeding.

2. Register & Login

Users must register an account using a valid email address for password recovery. Mobile number registration is primarily for China Mobile users.

Registration Process: Upon registration, a verification code will be sent to your email. After successful registration, you can log in to the app.

Home Owner (Super Master): The first user to add the device is designated as the Home Owner, also known as the Super Master, who has the highest level of control.

3. Add Device

To add a new device, tap the '+' icon or the 'Add Device' button, typically located at the top of the app interface.

4. User Management

The app allows comprehensive management of users, including adding and deleting them. The Home Owner and Administrators have broader permissions than Common Users.

• Home Owner: Can add/delete any user (family or other members).
• Family Members: Can add/delete users to themselves and other members.
• Other Members: Can only add/delete users to themselves.

4.1 Add Fingerprint Users

This feature is available for devices equipped with fingerprint scanning capabilities. To add a fingerprint, you will need to press your fingerprint multiple times on the device and then assign a name to the enrolled fingerprint.

4.2 Add Password Users (PIN)

Users can be added using a PIN code. The TuyaSmart app enforces a 6-digit PIN length for security and ease of use.

4.2.1 Hijack Password (Panic Users)

When setting a new PIN, you have the option to designate it as a 'Hijack Password'. If this specific PIN is used to open the door, it will trigger an alarm and alert designated contacts, intended for situations where a user might be forced to grant access.

4.3 Add Card Users

The system supports adding various card types for access, including 125KHz EM Cards and 13.56MHz Mifare Cards.

4.4 Delete Fingerprint/PIN/Card Users

To remove a user, navigate to the user management section, select the specific user you wish to delete, and confirm the removal.

5. Device Settings

5.1 Set Relay Time

Configure the duration for which the door remains unlocked after a successful authentication. The relay time can be set from 0 to 119 seconds, with a default of 5 seconds.

5.2 Set Magnetic Door Alarm

Enable or disable an alarm that activates if the door is forced open. This feature is set to OFF by default.

5.3 Set Alarm Time

Specify the duration of the alarm sound. The alarm time can be set from 0 to 3 minutes, with a default of 1 minute.

5. Set Pulse / Latch Mode

Choose the locking mode:

• Pulse Mode: Automatic Lock Switch is ON. The lock pulses open briefly.
• Latch Mode: Automatic Lock Switch is OFF. The lock remains in its current state until manually changed.

The default mode is Pulse Mode (Switch ON).

6. Open Record

Access records of door opening events. The Home Owner and Administrators can view all records, while Common Users can only view their own access history.

7. Remove Device

If a Home Owner removes the device from their account, all associated family members and other users will lose their access permissions to that device.

8. Others

8.1 Record of Alarm (Invalid User Open Record)

This section logs specific events such as invalid user attempts to open the door, which may trigger alarms.

8.2 Dynamic Password

Generate temporary passwords that expire after 5 minutes. These are ideal for providing short-term access to visitors.

8.3 Add APP to Home Screen

Users can add the TuyaSmart app shortcut to their device's home screen for faster and more convenient access to the app's functions.

8.4 Support Gateway (Optional)

An optional gateway can be used to enable remote control of the Bluetooth device, allowing users to open the door or manage settings from anywhere, not just within Bluetooth range.
