Quick Start Guide
Action | What to Do |
---|---|
Power On / Off | Press and hold the Power Button until the LED lights up or fades. |
Adjust Volume | Tap the Volume Up or Volume Down Buttons to adjust the volume of the device. |
Change Channel | Rotate the Channel Selector knob or use programmable keys via app. |
Transmit (Talk) | Hold the PTT (Push-to-Talk) Button and speak 2.5 to 5 cm from the mic. |
Receive Calls | When you release the PTT button, the radio switches to receiving mode. |
Device Overview
The Hytera S1 Mini is a compact two-way radio. Key components include:
- 3.5mm Audio Jack: Located at the top for connecting earpieces.
- Screen: Displays radio status and information (e.g., "L-01").
- Power Button: On the top side for turning the device on/off.
- Volume/Channel Up Button: On the side for adjusting volume or changing channels.
- Volume/Channel Down Button: On the side for adjusting volume or changing channels.
- Menu Button: On the side for accessing settings.
- LED Indicator: Located on the front, shows charging and status lights.
- Microphone: Located at the bottom front for transmitting voice.
- Speaker: Located on the front for audio output.
- PTT Button: A large green button on the side for Push-to-Talk functionality.
Additional Features
- Headset Audio
- Plug a compatible earpiece into the audio jack for private communications.
- Battery Charge
- Charge via USB C port. The orange LED will flash during charging and turn steady green when fully charged. The battery lasts up to 18 hours of use (100 hours on standby).
- LED Indicators
- The LED indicates charging status. It flashes red when transmitting, flashes green when receiving, and can also be used for scanning and to show power-on status.
- Coloured Labels
- Comes with three coloured labels to visually distinguish radios.
- Radio Clone & Channel Copy
- Use key combinations or the Bluetooth app to clone settings from one device to another, streamlining fleet setup.
- Voice Notifications
- Channel and battery information can be heard audibly.
Handy Tips
Transmit Instructions
[microphone] Hold the radio 2.5 - 5cm from your mouth when speaking.
Make sure to speak into the microphone.
Label Your Radio
[label sticker] Use the coloured stickers that come with each radio to label your radio.
Easily identify radios by users or teams.
Radio Care
