Installation Options

Various installation configurations are supported:

• Stacked: Washer placed on top of a compatible dryer.
• Side by side: Washer and dryer placed next to each other.
• On pedestals: Washer placed on an optional pedestal base.
• Stacked depth (39"): Refers to the depth when stacked.

Installing Your Washer

1. Alcove or closet installation

Minimum clearances for closets and alcoves:

• Sides: 1 inch (2.5 cm)
• Top: 17 inches (43.2 cm)
• Rear: 4 inches (10.2 cm)
• Closet Front: 2 inches (5.1 cm)

If the washer and dryer are installed together, the closet front must have at least a 72 in² (465 cm²) unobstructed air opening. Your washer alone does not require a specific air opening.

Diagram Description: An alcove or closet installation requires specific clearances. A recessed area diagram shows 1" side, 17" top, 4" rear, and 2" closet front clearances. A side view confined diagram illustrates the 17" top clearance.

2. With optional pedestal base or stacking kit

Required dimensions for installation with pedestal: Minimum 50 13/16 inches clearance to clear open door.

Required dimensions for installation with stacking kit: Specific height and depth requirements apply.
