Powering the Unit

Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. If the outlet is controlled by a wall switch, ensure the switch is turned on.

Preparation and Use

Refer to the Quick Start Guide for detailed usage instructions.

One-Minute Timer/30-second Pacer (Floss Mode Only)

The Water Flosser features a timer that provides a short pause every 30 seconds to indicate when to switch to the other side of your mouth. A longer pause at one minute signals the end of the recommended cleaning time. The unit will continue to operate without pauses until it is turned off.

  2. Press and hold the mode button for approximately 3 seconds until the Floss Mode LED blinks. The timer is now activated.

Using the Water Flosser

Hydro-Pulse Massage Mode

Hydro-Pulse Massage offers a unique water pulsation pattern designed to enhance gum stimulation. For best results, use the Floss Mode as instructed. After using Floss Mode for 1 minute, switch the unit to Massage Mode, adjust pressure as desired, and aim the water stream at your gums, massaging throughout your mouth.

To determine the current mode when the unit is off, press the mode button; the LED light will indicate the mode. To change mode, press the mode button again. You can also press the mode button while the unit is on to change modes during use.

When Finished

Turn the power OFF. Empty any liquid left in the reservoir. Unplug the appliance.

NOTE: If you used mouthwash or another solution, refer to the "Using Mouthwash or Other Solutions" section.

Tip Usage

Cleaning and Troubleshooting

Plaque Seeker® Tip

Illustration showing the Plaque Seeker® tip being used on teeth along the gumline. To use the Plaque Seeker® tip, place the tip close to the teeth so that the bristles are gently touching the teeth. Gently glide the tip along the gumline, pausing briefly between teeth to gently brush and allow water to flow between the teeth.

Using Mouthwash and Other Solutions

Your Waterpik Water Flosser can be used to deliver mouthwash and antibacterial solutions. After using any special solution, rinse the unit to prevent clogging by partially filling the reservoir with warm water and running the unit with the tip pointed into the sink until the unit is empty.

Cleaning

Before cleaning, unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. Clean the product when necessary using a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleanser. The water reservoir is removable for easy cleaning and is top-rack dishwasher safe.

Removing Hard Water Deposits

Add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar to a full reservoir of warm water. Set the pressure control dial to high and point the handle and tip into the sink. Turn the power and water switch ON and run until the reservoir is empty. Rinse by repeating with a full reservoir of clean warm water.

Leakage

If leaking occurs due to a damaged hose, replacement hoses and handles can be purchased at www.waterpik.com or by contacting Water Pik Inc. customer service for a self-service repair kit.

Accessory Storage

Accessory tip storage for your two most frequently used tips is located under the reservoir lid and can be accessed by removing the reservoir.
