HOTATA Quick Guide
This guide provides essential information for the installation and use of your HOTATA Keyless Entry Door Lock.
Installation Template
Follow these steps for marking and drilling holes for your door lock installation:
- Place the template on the high edge of the door bevel.
- Mark the center of the hole on the door face, 36 inches (915mm) above the floor.
- For 1-3/4" (45mm) doors, mark the center of the hole on the door edge.
- For 1-3/8" (35mm) doors, mark the center of the hole on the door edge.
- Drill a 2-1/8" (54mm) hole.
- Drill a 1" (25mm) hole in the center of the door edge, 2" (50mm) in depth.
Important: Ensure the template is correctly positioned for installing entry locks and deadbolts.

Tips:
After installation, test the lock with the key. If the latch does not extend or retract properly, verify that the locking lever is correctly positioned through the latch and that the L/R setting is correct, as detailed in the manual (refer to page 5 and page 6 respectively).
