iPhone eSIM Activation Guide

Overview

This guide provides comprehensive instructions for activating a Truphone eSIM on an iPhone using a QR code. It is designed for users who have purchased an eSIM via their phone's browser and saved the QR code to their photo album.

Activation Steps

Navigate to your iPhone's Settings and select Mobile Service.
Tap Add eSIM on the Mobile Service screen.
On the "Set Up Mobile Service" screen, choose Use QR Code.
The device camera will open; select Open Photos to find and select the eSIM QR code screenshot.
The phone will read the QR code. Click Continue to activate and install the eSIM.
Follow prompts to label your mobile plans (e.g., Primary, Personal) for easy identification.
Select your Default Line for calls and messages.
Configure settings for iMessage & FaceTime.
Choose your preferred SIM for Mobile Data.
Once setup is complete, verify the active eSIM status in Mobile Service.
To enable data roaming for the new eSIM, navigate to its settings and switch Data Roaming to 'On'.
